Medical fact that concussions make one more susceptible to sustaining them in the future. No doubt Marquez delivered a good one.

Definitely true. With that in mind, it's possible Marquez himself might be at a greater risk in the future as well; he got a broken nose and a concussion from the fight; Manny got a concussion and was knocked out.

Wouldn't surprise me if both guys went out on a low note. Marquez won emphatically. But he certainly didn't walk away unscathed.

Give him EPO again and watch him look like the FOTD again.

We all knew that someday Pac would drop dramatically. His style is made for suffering late KOs in his career. JMM has steadily been declining for years as well but with his style it is not as evident. I am really interested to see how he looks next time out.

I think he should just retire. Anything else he does from now on will never equal what he just achieved. Although I would not be opposed to him fighting Garcia at 140 and call it a night. I think he can beat him.

Punch resistance can fade just like any other attribute.. If they say power is the last thing to go, I would say punch resistance would be one of the first, and it is strange how it does seem to drop a great deal after a fighter has been knocked out real good, especially an aging fighter.

It makes me think of Roy Jones, after he was knocked out his chin instantly went to hell, I guess we will have to wait and see with Pac.

He'll probably be more susceptible to big shots, but we'll see how he reacts to average hits. It has the potential to be more of a psychological problem at this point. I don't think he'll ever be as aggressive towards Marquez again. But against others I think he will be.

They say power and chin are the last things to go. Look at Mosley. Look at Oscar.

There are cases where fighters are just iron chinned and can take a beating forever. Oscar and Mosley are two for sure.

In my opinion legs are the first thing to go which will mean you get tagged more and the guys with average chins tend to get stopped more. The Iron chinned fighters though can keep it going like you mentioned Oscar and Mosley.
