holyfield & james toney are both in their 40's ... and stylistically in a prime for prime comparison there is nothing that support wlad would beat either of them

i honestly dont really care about wlad.... good or bad he is irrelevant to me.... i am impartial to the whole heavyweight division as a whole

im just being honest when i say its a horrible division...

the only 2 hof potential guys are 2 brothers... everyone else is C - B level fighters & and even their case to make the hof is shaky... they combine for fighting like 2 hof fighters

A reason why this era is perceived weak is because 3 of the all time greats have dominated it (Lewis, Vitali and Wladimir) and they all were so good, so superior that they kept all the other contenders down. The Big Three prevented the era from being wildly competitive with lots of barnburners because the big three were too good.

    yo listen... tysonlewisbook

i understand your probably a big klitcko fan but lets be real for a second here... wlad fought 0 hof'ers (already in or potentially) and he has lost before....vitali fought 1 hof'er & lost (lewis) and hasnt fought another one since and has another L on his record.... lewis on the other hand has fought atleast 3 hof fights and is 2-0-1 in those fights..

they are good fighters but they are not GREAT fighters... the lack of competition makes them look better than what they truly are... and the lack of competition displays how awful the hw division is

:rofl:lol: Wlad and Vitali are ATGs now, what does that make guys like Ruiz and Byrd, who held and defended thier little abc crowns over a few yrs.

tysonlewisbook = farmboxer. Give it a rest already, noones buying the bull**** your selling. The Klits rule an extremely weak division, thats filled with fat asses and undersized fighters who freeze and eventually give up or get knocked out because they try to box Wlad instead of doing the smart thing in trying to fight him.

The one eyed man is king in the land of the blind.

They are Great fighters. They are dominating the current opposition like Great fighters does.

There are plenty decent fighters which Klitschkos made look like **** because they are superior boxer esp. Wlad at this point.

plz you dont know what the **** are you talking about. For one guy like James Toney at any point his career would not beat Wlad we have today... Stylistically my ass:patsch:rofl

    Fact.:deal

Look at it this way: IS Federer any less great, he hasn't beaten many grand slam champs in finals because he wins them all himself. Nadal the same thing. Sampras the same thing. Look at Sampras resume - Todd Martin, Pioline, etc.

Sampras is one of the greats of tennis, he made the Martins and Piolines and Philippousis's look like bums who never could win the big one. They were all excellent players made to look like bums because Sampras dominated like a Klitschko and Lewis.

Federer is doing the same thing, he's making guys like Djokovic, Haas, Murray, ROddick look like bums but they are all great players. You probably can't understand this concept. It's easier to just ignorantly say the whole HWT era now sucks.

To be honest it would be foolish to say this is great or even good era by any meanings because it is lacking great competition for guys like Vitali or Wlad only decent names for great brothers to beat up :yep. But it is fair to say it's average era especially if we compared it to era like holmes's:yep

    Awful comparison.

If Boris Becker came back now and got into the top 5 in the world, your **** poor analogy would make sense.
Djok has won a GS, Nadal has won 6. Roddick has won one and been runner up 3 or more times. You can watch them play and see how good they are.

You watch a fat, slow joke of a boxer throw 12 shots per round and show zero skills and it is clear they are crap.

The tennis players you mentioned do not look like bums, they play amazing shots, they hold their own in rallies against the best player ever and win titles. Just as Sampras owned Agassi most of the time, so Agassi still showed brilliance, still won 8 GS titles.

I could watch Valuev on focus mitts and see he is ****. He struggled with an almost wheelchair bound Holyfield. Sam Peter waddles into the ring so obese that he can barely lift his gloves up.

The era is ****ING AWFUL. And I am not American and not motivated by any dislike to having Eastern European champs. The fact is that outside of Wlad and Vitali it is pathetic.
The fact that Chagaev is held up as a good fighter when he is so patently average says it all. The guy was being tagged at will in the first 5 rounds by Matt Skelton who was 40 years old and had been boxing for 4 years. It was an embarrasing joke.

The ONLY people trying to say it is not a weak era are white, Europeans with a racial agenda in that they feel the need to promote the era as strong to give credit to their countrymen who are now in the top tier.

Well I am white and European and anyone who has followed boxing and knows anything about the sport can see what I see....

The era is a miserable farce.
