I rate George Foreman as the fourth best heavy of all time.

I got George Foreman at #4 too.

    He's also #1 though.

I got George around # 10. He was massively protected early on, beaten by an old ass Ali, then Young. In his comeback, beaten ringpost to ringpost by Alex Stewart, beaten outright by vander and Morrison, and let's be real Schulz and Savarese. I count less against him for the following but do criticize for the initial sins.

Sorry, he had huge stylistic flaws, and as much as some want to make him to be a giant, he just wasn't.

Great fighter, just not THAT great.

Ali never would have beaten Monocled Prime Foreman. :deal

SNV is the sole betting favourite against that badass gentleman.

I'd swap Holyfield and Tyson around, Patterson out for Dempsey, Wlad for Johnson but no real complaints, good list.:good

    We have a new entry.

Prime George Foreman wearing a blindfold being given instructions by Winona Ryder at ringside using a bluetooth headset.

Does Winona know enough about strategy to guide Blindfolded Foreman to victory against the equally fearsome Monocled Foreman?

    Great post.

I tend to think Foreman of 73-74 gets underrated. Foreman that was more inactive and mentally devastated was never seemingly the same. The one that trapped, cornered you and beat you down would be a threat to anyone. I feel like he has the most important aspects for a aggressive slugger. He has that ability to chase you down, corner you and lay the hurt on you. He has a strong chin, a good left jab to set up shots and a murderous uppercut. I don't have to mention his power. Aggression, power, chin, and mobility.

The more I think the more I see Foreman catching up to Holmes and stopping him. The whole "boxers" are his foil I think is wrong. You need to be super slick... I'd imagine Walcott could give him more trouble than a lot of these tall upright boxer types.

While his legacy, resume, dominance, and achievements are in tact I feel he doesn't get his dues H2H. I don't rate on H2H anyway, I rank him #4.

I think he's getting underrated too. I mean, as a young man he really only lost to two fighters and he ended up with hallucination-inducing dehydration the night he lost to the second fighter (Who has apparently become an ATG and power-puncher on classic at some point :huh). And the first being consensus top 2 heavyweight of all time. Not enough to call "boxers are his foil" imo. It's beyond me anyone really thinking much of his later losses. He was a ****ing T-Rex and still went the distance with Evander and rung his bell pretty well at that. And this is the first night in a while I've had much to drink at it took me six tries to spell consensus correctly. Babble, babble, babble. End comment.
