I rate George Foreman as the fourth best heavy of all time.

This is all so subjective. However, I usually have him at 5-7, depending on the day. To be honest, anything from 3-15 could be argued and isn't necessarily unreasonable. No need to ridicule others for stating an opinion.

    1.) Ali
    2.) Louis
    3.) Johnson
    4.) Holmes
    5.) Foreman
    6.) Lewis
    7.) Frazier
    8.) Holyfield
    9.) Marciano
    10.) Liston

Depending on the day, Langford, Dempsey, and Wills can hover near number 10 for me, as well. 8-10 often switch places, too.

This is all based on resume and overall accomplishments, not head-to-head, which for rating heavies, is usually absurd.

Why stop there? Hell, I still think Foreman even at age 60 can slim down to fight Floyd and Manny... What a great fight that would be.

Not sure on fourth, he struggled with boxers, not just Ali.

    Ali
    Louis
    Lewis (mind on job)
    Holmes
    Young
    Foreman (70's)
    Bowe
    Holyfield (early 90's)
    Frazer
    Tyson
    Tunney
    Liston

    195lbs?? You bloody dumb-dumb idiot.
    Foreman was a heavyweight TANK.
Prime Foreman without Modern-training was 230lbs-235lbs And used dehyration to go down to 217-224 cos it made him feel Sharper, Faster And better.

Are you for real mang?? :nut

    lol yer dafty. :rofl:silly

V.good list - especially if you switch Lennox And Johnson.

I love teh way you dont have Tyson in your top 10 And you name 3 people near top 10 - so Tyso can be no-higher then 14Th on your list, he 15th IMO. :thumbsup

Roids were very available in the seventies.

As for this De-hydration issue, which is curious.

If he fought at 240 in his first career does that mean his prime movement and general mobility would be more in line with his second career?

He was a champion in arguably the two most dominant HW eras. How many fighters could become champion at 45, let alone do so in the 90's. I rate performances in losses and his performance against a top 8-15 HW was pretty damn good.

Considering how raved Duran's win over Barkley is I think Foreman's over Moorer is even better. Moorer was a solid HW, and had he beaten Foreman would've probably had a more respectable ending to his career. He still be Holyfield, though, and was a good skilled southpaw. Pretty good hand-speed too.

He has the same muscle measurments of Roy Jones, Jermaine Taylor, and Jeff Lacy...so I could easily see Foreman jumping from Middle to Super Middle to Light Heavy to Cruiser, cleaining out the divisions and becoming a P4P King. Finally using steroids, his Foreman Grill, and modern training, he can become a hulking 300 lb beast and destory the soft, cowardly, short armed K sisters.

Agree with all of the above, and rather than doing Meineke muffler commercials, he could actually be the spokes person of Jenny Craig, but that might interfere with his campaign to run for Vice President....So....

Jimmy Young only won because Noni was away on vacation...Foreman had to resort to the use of his own eyes...not good.
