Wow and people wonder why Pacquiao takes so much flack. I tell ya, as great as he is for the sport, I wouldn't mind seeing him retire if it meant his fans go with him. I re-watched the first fight, and score it 113-111 for Marquez. I had two rounds that could have been even, but leaned towards Marquez. The 113-113 draw card was understandable. As much heat as Joe Cortez has taken as of late, he made the right decision of letting Marquez get up and continue after the 3rd KD. Many or most referees would have stopped it right then.
I think JMM has adjusted to 135 so at that weight, it would still be a very close fight but 140 would be a different story... a brutal KO win by Pac where he would not get any credit as JMM would suddenly turn into a shot fighter.:huh
Obviously you do, if you're going to take the time to reply. And I'm sure someone with that avatar has no biases. So **** off.
Exactly......from my perspective, the only way to make this fight close from a round by round perspective, is to weigh the connects from each fighter equally......meaning if it connects, it counts the same regardless of how clean or hard it connects...... ......You can see from those first round gifs that alot of those Pac connects has JMM in tune with what Pac is doing and riding with the shot, thus minimizing its impact. From my view there was a clear discrepancy in JMM's favor in the overall quality of the connects.....and its the reason why 2 out of 3 posters in this forum and the same ratio of boxing journalist scored the fight for JMM.
If tyson's opponent did not get ko or tko, they can win the fight against him. If oscar did not get tired against felix he could have one If MJ did not make any of his shot against the jazz, they jazz could have one. So manny "if", things does not work that way.
