Just wanted to share that with you all. :yep

I've just rewatched Pac 2 & Diaz; I really do love this boxer! Great determination. great drive to seek challenges and great boxing ability.

He tends to start slow, do what he needs to do to survive and figure his opponent out; he never seems to start quickly off the bat.
I particularly loved the way he countered Pac Man - the way he'd hop backwards as Pac came in on the offensive just out of range then hop back in & work him with combinations after Pac had committed to his punches. Pac's very good if he can time you coming in but when he commits his own timing goes off a bit & Marquez took full advantage of that I thought.

The Diaz fight was a gem too. The way he worked him, manged to stave off the early assault then get a rhythm and go to town on Diaz. A+ ringsmanship.

I still think Mayweather will beat him though. In fact I can't see any way really that Marquez win but if he did win I'd be absolutely over the moon with the result!!! :good

I agree entirely, though I think his increased agression has made him much more easy to hit in recent fights. PBF could hurt him unless he is very, very careful and clever.

Yeep, agree. Marquez should think and act carefully. He showed that he has slowed down in his recent fights. They were great wins, but the fact that he was getting hit alot was there.

He needs to pick his shots. He needs to aim for Mayweather's body and hit him there. He must hit Mayweather on his arms, anywhere that he can land punch. Mayweather is very illusive so it's wise not to head hunt.

I still think Mayweather will out point him.

I don't think he's slowed down too much. I just think he's been fighting terrific opposition; pac, barrera, diaz, and Casa are all great fighters. You're going to get hit by guys like that.

He was never a terrific defensive fighter, just getting hit a bit more as he fights better guys. He's still fantastic, and in many ways better. I don't think you'll ever see him get outworked like he occasionally did as a younger fighter.

I have all respect for jmm and he is great but has slowed down he is not in his prime anymore astill a very very good boxer, people think jmm prime was when he fought pac the first time but that isnt true he was faster and had better reflexes before that, you should watch his old fights, here are a few highlights in this video...

Marquez got better with age. In the prime you talk about he did not focus on putting power in his punches like he does now. Marquez transformed from a boxer counter puncher to a pure "knock out artist" if anyone deserves that title its him. His knockouts are works of art.

Got nothing but respect for Marquez. I was rooting for Pac during the first fight but the courage, fortitude and skill the man showed after that first round made me a fan.

Personally i give Marquez more of a chance of beating Mayweather than Pacquiao.

No way man. His defensive counter punching was awesome. He can probably still adapt to his old style but he switched to a boxer-puncher style because it is more exciting and everyone loves exciting boxers.
