I know one thing, if Wlad tried any of that measuring up **** with his jab or the pawing away of the opponents jab he would be on his way to 'lights out street' quick smart. Dr Steel? it certainly aint steel balls he has.

Yes, it's true the fight was stopped, but imo Vitali would have won by dec.

Steward is trying to turn Wlad into a more Robotic carbon copy of Lennox Lewis.

Lewis sees Wlad trying to immulate his style and copy some of the things that he's done.

Wlad has no chance against Lennox ... he gets out of there in 2 rounds .... the jab, speed, athleticism, and the right hand would be too much for Wlad.

I consider Wlad a true Champion now. He is already unified, he has beat two Champions, including the #1 ranked Ring mag heavyweight Chris Byrd, and the current #2 ranked Ring Heavyweight Sam Peter... Wlad is currently #1 in Ring Mag. The difference is that Wlad is fighting the best guys of his era, in their primes... Lewis didn't. Lewis couldn't be considered a champion because he hadn't even beat a top 5 fighter in his division. He didn't even fight one of them. When you are in an era with Tyson, Holyfield, Bowe, Moorer, and Foreman... and manage to not fight ANY of them during that time period... you can't be considered a true Champion. Wlad on the other hand, went straight for the top contender who was Sam Peter, beat him... went straight for the #1 Heavyweight in the World (Chris Byrd), beat him... and has been lining up the top contenders and beating them ever since. He is a unified Champion, and the other belts don't mean much right now. Just as Holyfield was a unified Champion, and he was considered the true Champion.

Or were you more impressed with Lewis' first title run? In which he was given the belt out of a trash can in 1993, but got knocked out and lost it in 1994?

Hell... I have not even brought up that Wlad was the WBO Champion for several title defenses before. I don't bring that up because he wasn't a true Champion at that time. He was just a title holder, and Lennox was the Champ. That was much more like Lennox's situation before he fought Holyfield. Holyfield was a unified Champ, had fought the better opposition by far... and was the true Champion. Lewis was just a title holder who hadn't fought the best guys.

I could see the fight going one of three ways if it had of gone through as planned

1.Lennox destroying Wlad within a round or two such as he did to Ruddock, Golota, Grant and Botha and like what happened to Wlad when he fought Sanders. (It was actually Lewis who advised Sanders on how to beat Wlad I believe)

2.Wlad causing serious trouble early on to Lewis and possibly leading on points until Lewis eventually pulls through and stops him around the middle rounds such as he did to Bruno, Briggs and Vitali.

3.Wlad finding that one devastating punch that KO's Lewis.

You're almost acting like there wasn't an outcome to the fight or it ended in a draw. They fought, Lewis won, end of story.

Ahem, Lewis hit harder, had a better jab, FAR better footwork, better chin, better skills, better boxing brain. Also window_dresser, far more guts. Wlad would **** himself against Lewis and freeze.

Lewis would have worked his way through the Vitali fight, he was only a round down on my card.

Great fighters always find a way

    That's about right, but it effectivily gives Wlad nothing more than a punchers chance. If one where attaching probabilities to these scenarios then I think;

    1. This would be about a 40-50% chance of happening

    2. This would be about a 25-30% chance of happening

    3. This would be about a 20-35% chance of happening.

Basically Lewis has about a 65% or greater chance of winning, in one fashion or the other, if you use the lowest range, which I think is a fair assessment.

I personally think Lewis would win rather handly, but Wlad certainly has the ability to hurt Lewis, and even take him out, if he connects, but it's just not likely to happen.

Good analysis - but you are using the theory that Wlad will open up. He was better against Thommo than Iggy, but still awfully cagey. You are there to have a fight, for ****'s sake.
