Man some of y'all don't know boxing. Ward dominates GGG at any weight any day of the week. GGG don't want the drama, I'd be shocked if he fights ward.

    That's exactly what's happening.

Anybody who mentions the weight without the purse split is ignoring the most crucial part of the equation. GGG is not going to take the fight for short money, and Ward will need to pay extra to get him at the full 168.

K2 has 3 preliminary offers to Ward. 164/166/168.

All including the 180lb rehydration clause and VADA TESTING(paid for by GGG)

The 50/50 offer is at 164, so GGG doesn't have to bulk up to compete.
He'd just enter the ring with an unofficial 7/8 lb weight disadvantage.
Also, ward would not be asked to defend his titles at less than 168, per the language of the contract.

GGG has clearly stated he wants no part of the WBA SMW title unless his unification with Canelo or Lemieux fight is 100% a no go.

If GGG will drop his WBC title, GBP will allow unification between Lemieux and GGG.

BHOP is still in talks with Loeffler about a late September fight.

Should Mayweather have manned up and fought CanelO at 154???
Should Rigo man up and fight Lomachenko at 126
Should Cotto man up and fight GGG and CanelO at 160????
Should ward man up and fight Kovalev @ 175????

    Serious question.

Cuz GGG WILL MAN UP AND FIGHT WARD AT 168.
Roc just needs to come up with a venue to support the extra money GGG will need to walk away from Lemieux, Canelo and Cotto.

It would actually save ROC $$$ , especially if Cotto beats Canelo

Chavez Jr and Froch actually draw a crowd, that's why they are the unequivocal "A side" to the guys they fight.

Ward is not the "A side" to GGG unless you are talking about resume, which doesn't really matter. What matters is who draws a crowd and Golovkin does that better than Ward.

I would agree with what BCS8 wrote regarding 164 50/50 and 168 60/40 GGG. It's all just negotiating. Seems like both of these guys what the fight for the right deal, which is completely normal.

For the record, I HATE catchweights and hope this fight takes place at 168.

GGG losing to Hall of Fame bound Andre Ward would be nothing to be ashamed of and certainly doesn't show that he was a "hypejob". That term is thrown around here far too frequently.

GGG would just go back down to his natural 160 weight class and most likely get his Canelo/Cotto showdown even easier.
