Maybe. Cotto hasn't beat many guys of that size and he has lost before.

Geale has had a number of fights at Super Middle throughout his career (albeit against mediocre opponents) so he can trade AND move.
Landing/accuracy is going to be the big key in this fight for Geale and whether inactivity has prematurely aged either fighter. Work rate can work against you if you consistently miss, ask Manny.

Daniel Geale's biggest problem could be making weight. A week out from the fight Geale was 167.5 pounds and Miguel Cotto 163.6 pounds.

Cotto is adamant if Geale doesn't make 157 pounds there will be no fight.

Im not sure how anyone could call a guy who held a title up until last year a "cherry pick"

winning a trinket means SFA these days

theres one champ at each division, it doesnt take a trinket to determine who that is

i'd LMAO if Geale beat Cotto. He deserves to for at least giving it a go with Gennady

I still think most people would have Geale in their top 10 at MW.

Like I said, hardly a cherry pick

At 157 it is a cherry pick. He clearly feels he needs the catch weight to win. Otherwise why have it?

If it's a "cherry pick gone wrong" then that means it's a legitimate fight that YOU underestimated their opponent. There's no such thing as a "cherry pick gone wrong", just your misinterpretation of their opponent selection.

    Never underestimate ANY opponent.
