Does anyone else?? I guess with ole' GEB it's kind of complicated. I have been following the mma thing, plus I am huge into the entertainment industry, I just enjoy it. And as of right now, I am most into this trend where modern MMA has picked up a fanbase that well veiws the moves that end in a tapout, the way they did a move in the ole pro wrestling leagues, for instance when Ric Flair did a figure four, or a scoprion death lock, or a sleeper, there is an audience that totally digs this with MMA. I guess I saw an MMA show. And, again kind of a long story, but I am pretty sure they the promoters did an excellent job with the production value of the show, by combining pro wrestling themes and mixing it in with MMA. Like words like tapout IDK it's hard to describe, maybe some other elements too. Kind of like the showmanship aspect of it, like they deffinatley emphasized MMA like MMA is a term that you would associate with like WWF or something, but used the showmanship side to show the cage fight aspect, that to it too. Has anyone seen this trend??
Wow I totally got off the point there, yeah ELite XC was freakin awsome man, I will deffinatley miss those there were a couple that were jsut awsome it was like MMA awsomeness. For me the Nick Diaz Kj Noons fight was great, then teh one with Yves Edwars fight and the Kimbo and Tank fight, then teh Frank Shamrock and Cung Lee match. It was just awsome oh and don't get me started on Gina Carano.
Hopefully the UFC gives Lawler another shot. I think he deserves it. And yes, as bad as ElitXC was, I do miss the extra MMA events it offered.
