I really, really want Roy Jones to win express

woooooooooo.... count me in! **** joe calzaghe!

 

Im in, I remember screaming like mad when Bernard managed to KD Joe and Im not even a big fan of Hopkins. Roy Jones is my all time favourite boxer so I will be at the edge of the seat during one of his final battles.:thumbsup

I'm going to put a bet on Calzaghe though for "Emotional Insurance"; If Calzaghe wins, at least I get some financial compensation, if Roy wins, I'll be very happy!

As it happens, I cant see Calzaghe losing...... but would love if he got KTFO!

 

you know what, i am from the UK , but yher id LOVE to see Jones win this and then hang them up with Joe...

but what i dont want is people saying "Joe was never that good", i want Jones to get the props he would deserve.

man after all the careful orchestrating that's gone into maintaining joe's 0 and cherrypicking his opponents it would give me a smile as wide as a calslappy hook if on his farewell fight he got embarassed by a guy he's only fighting because he's years past his prime.

It would be the happiest moment of my life as a boxing fan if Roy can win.


And I agree with you entirely on these points McGrain...

He was such a great fighter. He is a classy man. And it would be such a great win. It would vault Roy Jones in top my top 18 all time and it would be the best win of the decade.

I would LOVE IT if Calzaghe was fighting the Roy Jones Jr who sparked Montell Griffin all those years ago.

Joe will be humbled after being checked with the quickness repeatedly by one of the greatest masters of our beloved sport...Roy......Jones....Jr!!!!!!!!

 

With all he's done, he's already in the top ten with the people he's beat, some of which, are hall of famers. How he was able to dominate every division he entered including heavyweight even if if it was short, and still (anyone who read up, DQ does not mean loss) went undefeated for 15 years. If that's not a top ten HOF then i and you don't know what one really is.

 

I don't think I've ever wanted a fighter to win more then I want Jones to win this fight. It would be great for boxing, it would be great for Jones and it would be great to see Joe Calzaghe get beat by Jones about 10 years after Jones's prime! It would be a huge F-U to Hopkins from Jones, and it we as fans would get to witness the greatest win of one of the Greatest fighters in boxing history.
