It is utterly inconceivable that Tua has had only one shot at the heavyweight title in his career. especially when you consider that Ruiz has been champion and has had many opportunities - the ruiz who tua destroyed in 19 seconds. Oleg maskaev has been champ, the same maskaev that tua destroyed.

I'd love to see Tua take on david haye. Tua would wipe the floor with him in my opinion. Plus, i know a lot of ppl wanna see someone shut Haye's big mouth up!

to all tua haterz out there - I know he's a limited boxer. But when you have a fighter with a granite chin who has never been hurt, cut or knocked down ever - with devastating power in both fists - then you have yourselves a very dangerous fighter no matter who you are.

Tua will simply walk through anything that haye can throw at him, at which point haye will get on his bike. He'll try to avoid tua's power all night. But a deceptively fast Tua will catch up with him at some stage and then it will be all over. when tua gets someone hurt, he always finishes them. haye can't stand up to his power. i really wanna see this fight.

I would agree with you. But Tua hasn't fought a noteworthy opponent since the draw with Rahman in 2003. Long periods of inactivity and beating C-level journeymen won't get you a title shot.

Hopefully Tua will step up the level of his opponents, I'd like to see him get another title shot as he could cause the Klits and Haye lots of problems.

Tua had his shot at the title and blew it. Now he must climb back up the latter and earn another shot, but no by not fighting!

David Tua's crappy effort against Lennox Lewis was enough for me.

I'd like a shot myself, but normally you have to earn it. Tua is doing nothing notable to earn a title shot ahead of lots of more worthy challengers

If Tua were to win some fights against some top ten contenders, then I will take him seriously. I have always wonders why he wasted so many years of his youth.

i take all of your points... but why are ruiz, maskaev etc more deserving.

seems that nobody wants to risk fighting tua.

for sure he had his probs against taller opponents, but he surely is at least as worthy as ruiz.

    but anyway time will tell.

Then let his lazy ass work his way towards a tiltle shot. No one is simply going to hand him one. Especially considering he's such a punching power threat.

Doesn't matter what happened in the previous rounds...that's how it ended.:D

Still has a name, but he still needs to beat someone to get a big payday.
