Floyd admired his ability to draw, I think. And if you look at some of his entrances, and even with the way he behaves, it's pretty clear that he drew inspiration from the Prince in showmanship and playing a character that sells. Didn't he also refer to the money he was getting from HBO back in 2000 as "slave money" compared to what the Prince was getting?

 

That would have been the perfect time for it.

Hamed on his resume (especially via domination) would probably have quieted a lot of the haters who persistently accused Mayweather of cherry-picking in the subsequent years after Chico.
