I wish him well I hope he retires and be with his wife and kids but carma is something they cheated Bernard and it caught up with Dibella and Taylor. Taylor had a hard life growing up so did Bernard and he earn every victory in his career nothing was given to him, I though Taylor lost twice to Hopkins, Wright, and Spinks but they wanted to make him the new middleweight goldenboy I wish him all the best and great health it wasn't his fault but the industry blew him up.

Well, the fights were close and I don't hold it against Taylor, as much of a fan of Bernard as I am. Duane Ford, the moron judge who ****s up a record number of scorecards somehow scored the final round of the first fight. It would have given Bernard a Draw and had him retain his title.

I hope the best for Taylor, a man who never shied away from a tough fight against anyone. Winky turned down a rematch, so that's on him. I felt Taylor clearly beat Spinks, as unimpressive as the performance was.

Bernard didn't get cheated. He had no one to blame but himself.

I think that was the perfect opportunity for taylor. Making weight for so long was getting to BHOPS and I think that may be why he was waiting until about round 4 to start fighting in his last few fights at middleweight.

You cannot blame the fighter for the judges decision. You could tell Jermain thought he lost the first Hopkins fight by his body language. Like Evander Holyfield knew he did not deserve the ludicrous "Draw" in Holy-Lewis I. Its time the crooked & incompetant officials were made tpo answer for their crimes.

I can't feel too badly for Bernard here; he got his chance in the rematch.

In hindsight I suppose it could be argued that Hopkins was due to move up in weight by that point in time, but I have to give props to Taylor--even for those who think he lost, he was quite competitive with an ATG in his first championship experience over 24 rounds.

no offense to bernard bc im a big fan of his and obviously he is a greater fighter than jermain but after all of those title defenses i think the invincible factor set it and he didnt do enough to win those fights.

Exactly. But even if he is not to blame for what the suits at HBO pulled, he still benefitted from an injustice. He was nowhere near as good as people thought.

Taylor STILL hasn't beaten a top flight fighter convincingly.

He DEFINITELY got robbed in the first fight. The second, you could give it to either guy.

I like JT, but OP is right. He got the benefit of every close decision as the new Anointed One, and in the case of the first Hopkins fight it wasn't even close, it was an outright robbery and EXTREMELY disrespectful of B Hops and the sport in general. Not JT's fault, but still a fact.

That said, I wish him well. He seems to be one of the good guys.

Doesn't anyone understand how the idea of Karma actually works? You don't get bad Karma from something you didn't do wrong. If the judges gave him a victory you don't think he deserved, this isn't Jermain's wrong-doing. And if it wasn't his fault then how is this an act of Karma?

Man some people are really stupid.
