This fight is the perfect example of why i am mystified at Hatton having such a large fanbase. His style if horrible to watch.

I think you boys would have trouble fitting in the Travel Lodge room such are the egos involved. HOYA, Beeston and Icefags...never.

 

As far as I'm aware the Travel Lodge brand hasn't spread as far north as Yorkshire. Generally people spending a few days in the county on business just sleep in a field and use warm cow pat as a pillow. Ego's are not an issue, Yorkshire has a lot of big fields.

 

Not like you true boxing fans eh?? Hatton was just selling his fights, its happened in boxing for years but, like the clinching, only seems to be a problem for some people because its Hatton.

 

I'm pretty sure clinching, or holding in reality, is despised by the boxing world all over. John Ruiz is one the of the single most hated fighters in history for his disgusting style.

 

Well the numbers Hatton does both at the gate and PPV suggest he's escaped John Ruiz' fate. Of course thats just amongst the great unwashed, you self proclaimed "real fans" (who's views are even in the minority on specialist boxing sites) know better eh?

Anyhoo, I think the holding/ clinching debate has been done to death and Bettys now back to criticising a professional boxer for trying to sell his fights......
