Realistically, Zab had two good rounds. Round 1 was a feel out round(I gave it to Zab). Round 2 was his best round, and round 4 was pretty good for Zab as well. Round 3 and rounds 5-10, Zab got trahsed. He lost round 11 as well. Round 12, Floyd just cruised as the fight was wrapped up. I gave that round to Floyd, but I could see someone giving that round to Zab.

You make some good points......and I'll add that against Mayweather it difficult to succesfully feint him into a shot because he's usually on the defensive.
.....for example, you pointed to Marquez feinting the left and throwing the right......a big reason that that move did'nt payoff more often is that he was at a sizeable reach disadvantage.
In many instances when Marquez pulled that move, Mayweather would just stick his left hand out in the form of a jab (but not jabbing) and pull straight back....Mayweather's reach advantage able to measure so that Marquez' right hand would'nt reach him.

Pacquiao has just about the same reach advantage that Marquez has......and although imo Pacquiao is quicker footwise to close that gap throwing his power left, Mayweather is so good and reading and telling distance, Pacquiao is going to pay dearly for falling short with those lefts of his.

.......a bigger but lesser fighter in DLH, was able to get some clean right hands off on Mayweather, because he had a height and a slight reach advantage on Mayweather........both Marquez and Pacquiao fall 6 inches short in the reach dept. in comparing them to Mayweather, and Mayweather in pulling back takes full advantage.

Notice in that youtube clip that Mayweather's main defense against Marquez was just getting in a defensive posture and pulling his head back as far as he could as Marquez threw punches.
Before Marquez threw his shots, if Mayweather thought he had Marquez incoming rush timed, he'd let his jab or hook go......but if he sensed he did'nt accurately have it guaged, it was just very easy to pull back his upper body and head as far back as he could and slide back.
When you have a size and reach advantage, thats a great defensive move to pull.

......when you dont have that size and reach advantage, its not quite as sucessful and you end up sliding yourself all the way to the ropes, as was the case in Mayweather's fight with DLH.

Those were definitely sick skills that Floyd have. Add the fact that JMM didnt have the speed and power to even make Floyd blink at the upper divisions, certainly enhanced his abilities. Great tune up actually.

  4. Nah I dont think so man. I just watched it about 5 more times and Floyd lunged on with a right and Zab countered him with a hook that knocked him off balance. Cant really see the feet but even if he did step on his foot, the punch was what knocked him off balance.

I think Floyd-JMM is a much different fight...I think Floyd can beat Pac if he fights tall..the reach advantage will be huge for floyd and he knows how to fight tall!

JMM couldn't attack him. JMM couldn't counter him. And when it became painfully clear that JMM didn't even have that "puncher's chance" (to land a miracle KO), it was all over.

  7. Well given that Judah lands manny flush shots on Floyds face and body obviously im gonna disagree.

Agaim, Judah landed in the sinlge digits, 10 of 12 rounds. He only landed 18% overall.

MIke? Mike Tyson? Is this you?

  10. Yes thats why he lost the fight. That's not the point.

And punch stats can blow me. Calzaghe supposedly landed 5000 to 3 against Hopkins. I couldnt care less it means nothing. You can adduce punch stats till the cows come home, but the film says that Zab landed flush left hands and hooks, totally outclassing Floyd for brief moments.

  11. He's lascivious ^ ^

Besides the second round, Judah never out classed Floyd. Overall, Judah was effective in two rounds. Judah rarely landed anything of note on Floyd.

Wow ,, Your so hooked on the lil thing zab did , that you totally over looked the fact that Floyd stood right in front of Zab and Walked him Down with out taking any punishment in return. Cotto did the same thing and was battered and bruised and almost KOed.

Zab got tired because Floyd pressured him with his counter punching ..

Nope. Another poster posted a snap shot of the feet when Zab punched Floyd, his foot was on Floyds foot. Have someone step on your foot then hit you and see if you keep your balance.
