Parker has one thing over the others. SPEED. Even on a bad day he still has it - more than the others.

And he is only an inch or so shorter than Joshua.

I rated parker but hes becoming a bit too predictable. Far too one paced. They ve got him boxing more...the problem with that is parkers reach is pretty short for the big guys. Not too sure that boxing will be effective anyway. Not like fury with his reach.

Need to get him changing up the pace a lot more. Stepping in with two or three shots. Counter attacking. Varying the power in his shots more. Setting people up etc. I think even wilder will keep him too busy with the jab. Joshua looks likely to blow him away. Fury would outbox him. What hes doings fine for some of the opponents but cant seeing him getting far with it against them.

Good thing is hes only 25. Hes having a few more difficult fights...might do him well in the future. Guy saturday was a difficult opponent tbf. Still think hes 3 or 4 or even 5 fights away from any of the top guys tho. Could do with another few learning fights. I d try get chisora in the ring maybe whyte/pulev after maybe two more half decent tests. Hughie fury would have been a good fight for him.

H.fury. chisora. Whyte. Pulev. Bellew. Breazeale. Andy ruiz junior. Hammer.

Thats who he should be aiming for. Not ready for the top guys yet. I d probably go...hammer or andy ruiz first. Hughie fury or Maybe breazeale next. Or any of them four next. Bellew/ chisora. Whyte/pulev. One or two of them. Then take a punt.

Not sure i agree. Skilled operator but cant see him doing much with joshua. His subtle footwork could cause aj problems. But ortiz basically takes punches to land his own. He pretty much knows hes a big unit that will outlast most guys. But no sure joshuas the right opponent to do it with...to take punches to land your own.

Jennings actually outlanded ortiz in their fight.

its either ortiz or joshua who are the best imo . but i dont put much stock into jennings out landing ortiz . ortiz picked his shots better

OP said Parker is naturally gifted and posses great technique, nothing wrong with that.
I doubt he can be the top, but to be a unified champ is certainly within reach. It's close to 50-50 between him and wilder

Yeah agree mate...he did pick his shots better. He also let jennings hit him to get his own shots off. Thats when hes most effective. He knows he,ll outlast guys cause hes a proper unit and hits harder than most. But against joshua its a recipe for disaster. Hes pretty static as well. They matched joshua with static guys most of his career cause he can basically beat up on them without them being able to get out of trouble. The cubans footworks tremendous but he is static. I actually think its a great style match up for joshua. And i rate ortiz pretty highly.

He's already fought Andy Ruiz. Before the Cojanu fight, I wouldn't have liked to see Joe in with some of the guys you've suggested but now those options do look reasonable. The critics might accuse him of picking lower rated opponents so even if he does knockout your Chisoras and those level fighters, the critics will go back to 'why is Parker picking fighters outside the top 10' or something along the lines. Like I said though, it does make sense for him to take a few 'development' fights based on his performance against Cojanu but it comes down to risk for reward ($$).

Ï guess being 2 meters stall and having a reach like a boeing 727 isn't being naturally gifted anymore?

Yeah pretty sure it wont happen mate they,ll probably rush him into a fight with wilder or someone like that soon for the money. Tbf the guys on the list arent really great preparation for the top guys cause the styles arent that close anyway. But would be good to get him a few more tough challenging fights. Start trying to go for the knockouts again. If he went out there and knocked out say chisora and someone else on the list...you,d be sitting thinking hes maybe got a chance here. But performances like saturdays...pretty much pointing to him not being ready yet. Ashame cause hes a good fighter but needs to start working on a plan to get fighters out of there. Dont think he,ll outbox the better fighters with that reach imo.

Yeah seen the andy ruiz fight. Would like to see him go back for another shot in a few fights time. He struggled a bit in that fight. He really needs to be beating him conclusively or guys of that standard before thinking about the top guys. Tbf ruiz is better than he looks. Hes still a long way off joshua. Klitchko. T fury. Probably wilder.

Dimitrenko must be scratching his head on why Parker couldn't shift a guy he probably would have knocked out in two or three rounds.
