That doesn't make sense as Fury is the mandatory for the WBO title that Joe has.

Anyway, Parker wasn't the one who ducked him and Hughies scheduled fight. Apparently Hughie was injured, make of that as you will.

Theres talk that he maybe looking at Bellew and will fight Hughie after that. Hopefully Hughies ready to go this time.

I know he didn't duck Fury and Hughie was injured but there is talk of Matchroom paying Fury to step aside so he can take the more lucrative Bellew fight , I think that's a massive result for Parker because he gets a much bigger purse for a much easier fight against a chubby cruiser that builds his profile and it fast tracks him to AJ , if he does end up fighting Hughie I think it's a 50 50 and if he loses his belt he's got nothing.

As Hughie Fury wasn't even licensed at the time of the original fight, and still isn't, I see no legal grounds that he can be considered a mando for the WBO belt. The ONLY primary sources I have seen that claim he is still, is the Fury camp and Frank Warren, and their word is worthless.

Yeah theres nothing really in Joes past to warrant the word 'duck' even close to his name. Hughie stated that he was ready to go via twitter a few days out from the fight and then a 3 week injury ruled him out. Thing is, posters on here were saying Hughie wasn't going to fight Joe weeks out before the fight.

Well they are looking at Bellew so maybe they are following that path you speak of. I wouldn't mind seeing Joe against Bellew. Haye was hurt in his clash with Bellew so Im still not sure how good Bellew is.

Team Fury really are a let down. Its hard to be sure Hughie will take on Joe. Tysons coming back now for Joshua but he didn't want to come back for Wlad?? Very uncertain bunch.

Tbf to parker i think they we,re trying to avoid a bannana skin on saturday nite. It does only take one punch. Hes on the verge of making decent money. Kind of boxed cautiously to make sure he didnt get hit with a lucky punch etc.

If thats the case they,d be as well throwing him in now. Boxing like that...will only lower his value anyway. Would prefer him going for the knockouts taking that chance...and going through 3 or 4 good opponents first. Good fighter that does most things well...but too one paced atm and short reach will kill him if hes going down the route of being a boxer type. He needs to draw the punch then get off...with 2s and 3s. Fast hands could make it difficult for anyone. His powers decent its just that hes too predictable atm against the better opponents.

Tyson has serious personality and mental disorders, he needs professional help. With his head screwed on right he is head to head one of the best heavyweights.

Hughie is a poor mans Tyson.

Yeah absolutely. I guess Im still a little bit annoyed at not seeing the Wlad vs Tyson Fury 2 (Id actually sit through another one of those) as I just felt Wlad didn't turn up that night IMO. However Im not taking anything away from Tyson 'look at my belly' Fury for his performance on that night. Also annoyed at Hughies no show.

This just goes to show how so many uneducated fans equate speed to skill and technique. Fact is Parker while very fast, with impressive combinations is a very basic fighter in terms of skill and technique.

Where is his counter punching? He doesn't do it enough, he is impressive when allowed to lead and he can use that speed to beat guys to the punch but when on the back foot his lack of counter punching makes him vulnerable when pushed back.

His jab is a nothing punch. He doesn't commit to it, doesn't throw it with authority. Yes it's quick but usually falls short, he only uses it to distract his opponent to set up the follow up combos. He's also predictable with it, always throws it before letting his hands go, it's become a tell to his opponents to cover up, which is why Cojanu went the distance.

He isn't comfortable when being attacked. He can counter punch, I've seen it, but he often goes completely defensive when under attack. He moves too far away to land a counter or he turns his body to cover up and isn't in a position to counter. Compare that to Joshua who blocks and deflects shots on his gloves when attacked and looks to fire back, even when under attack he is a threat, unless hurt.

If you think Parker is anywhere near the likes of Joshua or Wlad in terms of technique you DKSAB. Even Fury has more skills than Parker and is far more complete. His technique isn't pretty but his movement, his jab, his upper body movement, even his inside skills are on another level to Parker's.

If were talking Hughie Fury, I'll say that Parker wouldve knocked out some of the guys Fury beat on points and thats quite a lot. You compare Ruiz or Takams boxing ability to some of Furys opponents. Fred Kassi is Hughies best opponent and I think Joe could look really great against Kassi, perhaps even knock out Kassi. Hughie another level? IMO not in some areas.

I like a lot of the things Parker does in the ring, and he does seem to have good hands. He definitely has to demonstrate something against better competition though.

Parker just went life and death with his Romanian body guard and sparring partner.

And do not forget the Andy Ruiz Jr fight! He barely got past him.
