yeah, i'm not a big fan of either. arce probably wins though.

 

what happened to castillo...he was like a smaller version of Rafa Marquez, at least it seemed, for awhile

 

I would pick Arce in this fight, but it wouldn't be easy in my opinion. Mijares beats them both for sure.

 

Are you serious? Man, I didn't see the fight but I remember he was no joke! Too bad, he's sooo dang talented. He beat Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the ammies.

I would even pick Montiel against him at this point. He hasn't been the same since he schooled Morel a few years ago. He was an excellent fighter back then...P4P potential written all over him.

up to last year even, he looked amazing. that lost to nashiro must have affected him bad. i'm a fan of castillo, but i have to admit that mijares easily beats him if he's coming in like that. age must be catchin up.

I can't believe Castillo didn't stop his opponent tonight. He was landing a ton of left hooks to the body and was connecting all night, but he couldn't put the guy out (who was stopped by some shitty fighter in the 11th round not long ago). He has really weak power. His defense isn't great and the laying on the ropes that he likes to do would be a bad thing against Arce. Arce would struggle in the start, but come up with the win late in the fight, either by stoppage, cuts, or decision.

 

I still think he will beat Arce.
