Haglar was not using his jab in the early rounds and letting Ray get to him..kinda aggravating him. Ray was not afraid of Haglar, I didnt give Marvin a round till the the 5th..and I voted it a 10-10 round..just how controversy was this fight really!?

What rounds did you give to Hagler?

I scored it for Leonard aswell, but not with a wide margin. The early rounds went to Ray, the mid rounds to Hagler. The key rounds are the closing four I think, they were close and the scoring depends on what you prefer. Leonard scored more and flashier, and he was the ring general with his movement, but Hagler was the aggressive one, landing the harder shots. Sort of similar to De La Hoya vs Trinidad in a way. And in both those fights i find my self scoring it for the nice moving boxer.

This fight comes down to who I want to win when I start watching the fight.

If I want it to be Hags I will score the 12 for him and maybe another close round. If I want to be "fair" in spite of myself I give those rounds to Leonard.

I love Leonard, but I Hagler is a warrior. I hate to see him lose his title to a guy who wasn't going to defend it with honor like Hagler did.

At first I scored it 117-112 for Leonard, (8-3-1). But after reviewing the fight again I had it 116-112, (8-4), Leonard.

The first four rounds went to Sugar Ray Leonard, easily. Rounds 5 & 6 Marvin Hagler. Rounds 7 & 8 were close rounds but were won by Ray in my opinion by the way he outlanded Hagler by finishing each of those encounters with the fast sharp flurries that he used to close out both rounds in those last 20-seconds. The ninth round was an all out slugfest, but nontheless Hagler's round. 10 and 11 both went to Ray and the 12th and final I gave to Hagler.

One of the judges scored it just like I did..118 to 113...I was surprised still though!..And I think your 117 to 112 could be right as well but I truly believe it close to that margin:good..

This is similar to how I saw it, although i gave round 8 to Hagler. So i had it 7-5 to Leonard.

I'm done with this matchup. I respect both fighters, but I think Hagler lost because he didn't knock Leonard out. Ray won the event, but he did indeed "run like a *****".

I saw it as a complete and utter robbery, a draw at very best. Ray Leonard was always the golden boy, he was always going to get the nod.

Hagler walked away from the sport in disgust, and so should he...
