I see a lot of people rooting for Broner? Did he do something to gain your respect?

people just love an underdog...

 

Broner has my respect for taking on top challenges -- doesn't seem to back down from any proposed fight. And on the whole he's taken his whuppings like a man and really not made a lot of excuses.

His public persona is garbage, but as a fighter if you take that away there's a lot to like.

 

He mugged Trump.

 

Nah, bull crap. AIDSdrien resorted to cowardly and pathetic theatrics in the Maidana fight to try to get Maidana disqualified. The ref actually told his ass to STFU and box. AB a bish ho.

 

I can't see why anyone would root for Broner over Mikey unless there is some personal bias against Mikey or for Broner.

These fighters are like comlete opposites.

Mikey is class and eloquent, Broner is trashy
Mikey is dedicated to his craft but without any outstanding god given gift while Broner is naturally gifted but lacks the dedication

That's a fair assessment,I think everyone hoping they see a Broner without all the above lol.

I think it is because Mikey is overrated himself. He really has not beaten many good guys.

 

From what I've read here it seems like a lot of posters are turned off by Mikey's newly revealed egotism (i.e. referring to himself in third person and giving Broner no chance to beat him) and the way his team seems overly confident of him. Meanwhile, Broner seems more humble than before though he hasn't lost his "AB" personality in the process. I'm still rooting for Garcia as I'm a big fan of his and am most concerned with what he does in the ring, but that's what I've seen from other posters regarding this topic.

I see this as ABs last stand. He loses this fight and it's gatekeeper status for him. At 140 he can fight for a title that Crawford will vacate. But AB vs Crawford we all know ends badly for AB

this is the age of overrated. I wouldn't be shocked if Broner beats Garcia. I think Broner should jump on Garcia and try to get a fast knockout.
