People keep saying his stamina has been proved to be suspect and he needs to drop some mass. Joshua threw about 160 big shots in the first 2 rounds, of course he was a little punched out, but he regrouped and set a less frantic pace, looked fresh at the end of the fight. He threw around 400 punches, more than fury threw in 12 rounds against wlad. Great performance from Joshua IMO, great to watch aswell.
Did well in his first test took some shots and came through to win.will be interested to see how whyte gets on fighting other HWs if he gets hammered then Joshua's win don't look so impressive .I think that whyte will beat most current HWs however time will tell.
The main thing Whyte has to improve is his cardio. Would like to know how much roadwork he was putting in during camp because he did not press the advantage in that second round. I could understand if it was the 5th or 6th round, but 2nd round he should have had plenty gas to flatten Joshua. Would just have taken one more shot like the one he landed.
Not sure about that, he had stacks of energy after the bell. Gassed himself after the 1st round bell, the brixton slag.
when i first started watching boxing there were very few british fighters who got a world title shot without going the british/commonwealth/european/eliminator route and many of them suffered knockdowns /defeats/ before coming through and winning a world title. today on esb they would be called exposed /glass jawed frauds/ jim watt/barry mcguigan/denis andries/tony sibson//charlie magri/colin jones/ etc etc all had hard fights before becoming champs. i like going the old route it rounds boxers skills as they meet different styles v opponents who try to win . i hope joshua goes this rouyr. typo leicester just scored
You Brit****s certainly aren't doing him any favors. They way you hype up your fighters and talk **** makes outsiders dislike them. Worst fans in boxing no question....
over the top praise when not warre nted does wind up non supporters. winds up more rational supporters as well. worst fans though that is different small country that if it was part of america would be in a small part of southern alsaka ,so to use a boxing anology we punch well above our weight.
I'm not a Joshua detractor.... Just call it how I see it. It's the Brits and their insane hyping of fighters that make people hate.
