So, you have GGG beating Abraham, froch, Groves, Bika, Stieglitz, Rosinsky, Dirrell and Kessler? 60/40 for Ward? :rofl:rofl
GGG's team MUST ask for a stringent drug test and stringent weigh ins. None of that cheating bull**** Salido had to pull to beat an amateur (barely, by 1 point on my card). If junior doesn't make the weight, don't let him rehydrate, ****er will come in at heavyweight limit next time he fights.
that was lomachenkos 8th pro fight....and for a guy who 'didn't belong in the ring for a title shot' against salido...he sure finished pretty strong. take lawrence cole out the situation and replace him with a competent ref...that becomes a whole different fight.
Sorry, but no matter where the fight was held in the US, the outcome would very likely had been the same. Had the ref called the low blows, he could have also called Loma for excessive holding. Fact is, in the Pros it's, protect yourself at ALL times. Welcome to the Pros kid. Hopefully you learned something and won't make the same mistakes twice. Also, that open glove contest with none pro gloves where you cannot make a fist don't really count as Pro. Closer to Semi-Pro, but semi-pro don't count in boxing.
we do not know how ggg will fight at 168. he should have at least tested the waters against a lesser opponent at 168 first. this could be like a broner vs maidana, w broner having moved up in weight and getting beaten down at his first fight at that weight. i laugh when i think that chavez might actually take training seriously for ggg. a lot of variables here that make this a tough fight to pick.
I agree Cole was bad that night and if there was a Lomachenko-Salido rematch I'd go with Lomachenko. The WSB doesn't count as pro fights and I don't think it should either. It is in some grey area where its more pro than amateur fights but not the same as professional either.
JCC jr is gonna give GGG hell. This isn't an easy fight as people think it is. GGG isn't hard to find and JCC Jr will be coming all night.
The only way Jr can win this is with his weight and size advantage, but then again it's not like Golovkin won't be prepared for it.
