I have never seen so many boxing fans upset a young fighter is going up in weight to fight better competition. People are seriously saying "I wanted to see him fight Vasquez or Burns".

Paulie is a better fighter than both of those guys and would beat both of them easy. So the only conclusion one can come to everybody thinks Broner is a top Pfp fighter.

And I dont want to hear "he is skipping 140" all those guys are tied up in fights. Plus those fights can be made down the road since those guys are bigger than people at 147 anyways. Just face it you actually think Broner is one of the best fighters in the world

I actually like the fight and am interested to see what the outcome is

I like unification fights that's why I preferred burns, Vasquez or abril. I wouldn't assume he's too good for Paulie though I'm not sure where that line of thinking originates.

I'll just copy and paste what I wrote in another thread:

There's nothing wrong with him fighting an Abril in June to unify the WBC and WBA, and then trying for Vasquez or Burns depending on their situation to bag another world title. After he's done with them, I'm pretty sure GBP's endless line of 140 fighters -- Peterson, Khan, Garcia, Matthysse, etc -- will be available.

This way he'll be sealing a decent resume on his way up. I mean, he's only 23, for crying out loud. Barely had time to settle in the 135 division, and not only is he departing that, but he's skipping 140 all together. These are decent fights/titles he'll be missing out on. And that doesn't bode well for his legacy.

You could've been talking about Mosley as well. The guy skipped 140 which is very deep and missed on a chance to boost his ATG standing.

I genuinely think they're going to try and get Broner in the ring with Pacquiao.

Good point. But Mosley had far better fighters at 147 that made up for that. He also went beyond and up to 154. Broner doesn't have that luxury. 147 is where he'll max out and at the moment 147 is ****. The only saving grace for him is that the current crop of 140 will soon move up.

Well, yeah, kinda'. That and the numerous decent fights we'll be missing out on if they force him up.

Paulie arguably lost his last fight. He has no chance against Broner. Think of a faster Khan with much better defense. This one is gonna be ugly.

the only fight we will be missing out on are "Vasquez abril and Burns" this is a better fight than those 3. And who the hell wants to see Vasquez or Abril fight?

Broner did not do well against Gavin Rees. He definitely did NOT look good against PDL, with most people saying PDL won the fight.

I want to watch Broner vs Rios.

Just because it looks like Mayweather, acts like Mayweather and tries to fight like Mayweather doesn't mean it IS Mayweather.

A good little fighter he is, a top P4P he is NOT!

Erm, boxing fans? You know, boxing fans that want to see their fighters tested and wipe out the best in their divisions?
