    based on what?

where's the thought and analysis supporting your opinion?

an opinion would thought is just a wish.

creating posts such as "hey i hope canelo wins!" is of interest to no one

Mayweather,Mosley, cotto, khan and even lara despite weather they were over the hill or too small are all fighters that in some shape or form will have provided him with some elite level invaluable experience, You can't put a price on experience, Experience isn't just about wining the fight, its about taking something from that fighter, learning something from that fighter You would learn a hell of a lot more sparring a 60 year old mayweather than you would a prime Dominic wade.

GGG has been in there with some tough c level fighters at best, no matter how many of them you knock over, they don't give you the experience of the elite, no matter how tough or durable they are.

Don't see it. Kovalev has an excellent 1-2 and a solid jab. However, if you take away Kovelev's jab he's almost harmless. Kovalev's inside game is nonexistent. GGG has a lot more versatility to his game than Kovalev. When Barrera was prepping for Ward GGG kept correcting Barrera on how to fight off the inside and counter with hooks and got pissed when Barrera kept screwing up. Kovalev also doesn't roll punches well, while GGG seems to be roll punches on instinct.

Canelo has a shot in this fight because of youth. You list several reasons why Canelo may have a chance but I think youth is the only one he has going for him. GGG is 35. In the Jacobs fight he looked beatable, or at least hittable. That is why Canelo agreed to fight GGG. They had been waiting for GGG to show some vulnerability. They will be sadly mistaken. Canelo is made to order for GGG. Canelo wants to show his fan base he is tough and will go toe toe with GGG. No one goes toe to toe with GGG for long. They might shoeshine him for a while because GGG is not the fastest handed fighter. What GGG is, though, is a cold blooded killer in the ring. Like Foreman, he hits to hurt. He hits like a surgeon. He knows how and where to apply the pressure. The Ginger Boy is going to look like his grade school pictures and his fans are going to be saying, "what happened?"

LOL firstly Khan isn't and never has been elite, he was a gimme for Canelo for a showtime reel KO.

Mosley was far removed from being elite and honestly what makes Lara "elite" or at least more "elite" than say Murray?

Now before people start saying I'm bigging Murray up I'm not, he's solid nothing more but he had a L against Martinez that could have arguably gone his way and a contentious D with Sturm.

Lara is very good, great skill but he has no more wins than people like Jacobs, Murray, Lemieux.

    Cotto I agree with.

Lol, I forgot about him!! He fought Daniel Geale instead of GGG, after GGG knocked him out and said GGG needs to deserve a fight first.

Canelo has a lot of good attributes. I agree.

But here's why Golovkin is going to beat him.

Canelo can't play the distance game with Golovkin, whose jab is imho far superior.

Canelo is going to step into the wheelhouse with the hardest puncher at 160 and go toe to toe. He simply doesn't have the power to intimidate GGG, and his best bet is to try and counter whatever Golovkin throws. But Golovkin probably is quite happy getting hit so long as he gets to reply in kind. Canelo is losing a 1 for 1 with Gena.

Alvarez has another option: go hard to the body. But Jacobs went hard to Golovkin's body all night and it did nothing. Golovkin is a proven and vicious body puncher himself. He'd probably like to play that game too.

Saul just doesn't have the footwork to play the stick and move game with Golovkin, so that's out too.

Golovkin has always demonstrated superb stamina, whereas Canelo is famous for his mid fight teabreaks.

On paper, at least, Canelo is dogmeat.

It will be interesting to see if he can transcend these self-evident truths and show us how great he really is.

You're not accepting of reality. There's very clearly a W next to Canelo's name in his fights vs Trout and Lara. Vs Trout, not only did he win, but he knocked Trout down and made Trout look like bambi on ice. How do you call a fight a gift decision when his opponent was dropped like bambi on ice during the fight? Lara was closer and harder to score than Trout, and Canelo didn't exactly get credit for a knockdown, but Lara did fall down as a delayed reaction to a punch as he was backpedaling. Lara vs Canelo wasn't exactly on steady legs so again you're calling that a loss when it's official a Win for Canelo.

So you're basically going against official results of bouts then saying he failed when he stepped up when he really succeeded. And of course vs Floyd well that's good that you agree with the official decision for that one, and I fully admit that Floyd did win more rounds than Canelo, but Canelo took Floyd into deep waters that Floyd's never been in before. And gave Floyd his closest fight since Castilo / DLH and did things to Floyd in some of those rounds that nobody else has ever done to Floyd. So in all 3 of those fights, Canelo succeeded each of those times he's stepped up to varying degrees. You're saying those were all losses, failures, essentially. That's not the reality of what those fights were. Each of those 3 fights Canelo fought very intelligent and very effectively. Each of those 3 times Canelo stepped up, he very clearly succeeded. And you or any one else who makes this argument that he failed in those fights obviously don't know anything about boxing.

Honestly if ,and this is big FKN IF, Canelo can avoid multi KDs or a KO and see the final bell he has a heck of a chance based on past judging from his fights.

I think the early rounds Big Red can keep GGG honest for a few with his inside work, unlike some boxers Canelo can actually bang on the inside and has beautiful inside uppercuts/body shots, and quick combos. My thought process is Canelo can do the work and score but he can't hurt GGG and GGG will counter and Canelo will be shaken to his inner core. You never know as anything can happen but I still say GGG cleans his clock mid to late rounds and the judges are left with thumbs up in there AZE holes
