I mostly read the forums here and don't really post at all but with the big fight coming i thought i would post something. First off i want Pacquiao to win. But most importantly i want it to be an exciting fight.

But unlike many others even though i want Pacquiao to win i think his chances are slim. While i don't like a few things about Mayweather and i want him to lose his 0 i can't see him getting KO'd by Pacquioa. Pacman has not KO'd anyone since Ricky Hatton in 2009 and all the fighters he has fought recently have no where near the defensive skill of Mayweather.

I see Mayweather winning this on points or possible getting a late stoppage/ ref stopping fight. I also see them calling a close fight a draw so they can get a big rematch which would benefit everyone in Vegas financial. I can't understand why so many PacQuioa fans are so confident their guy will win i know they want to support their guy but being so confident of a Manny ko when the facts say otherwise, yes i know anything can happen in boxing but if i was a big Pacman fan i would put a heap of money on Mayweather and then you can't lose either your fighter wins or you win money!

I was planning on putting money on Mayweather but i had to lend a family member money, was just about to go on holiday and don't get my tax return until July. I hope Manny does win or its a great fight for the draw but i think i will be regretting not putting money on Mayweather. The ****y ******* is probably going to win and i could have made some money damn. Hope we get a good fight. Don't want it to be a boxing lesson like the one Mayweather gave to Canelo that fight just ended up being so boring it was like a pro boxer teaching an amateur to fight..

    Odds My opinion

    Mayweather win 70%

    Pacquiao win 10%

    Draw 20%

Lets hope we get a good fight :happy

interestingly, most polls i've seen in forums, tv channels show Pac winning by a lot. I guess this has to do with fan base and not necessarily who people think will win.

There are good reasons why many think Manny can win but it's unpredictable when you get two fighters with such skills in a ring. For instance, no-one ever expected Manny to destroy DLH or Cotto..many felt scared for him. It depends on the style match-up and who shows up.

The main reasons people think Manny has a good shot are reasons that have been discussed non-stop in this forum.

    1. Manny has incredible hand and foot speed. When's the last time Floyd Mayweather faced a fighter with such speed? never, Judah didn't have the foot speed.
    2. Manny is a southpaw, they have given floyd a bit more problems.
    3. Manny usually throws many punches. The fighters that have given Floyd trouble have been pressure fighters who throws a lot - Castillo, Maidana.
    4. Manny has stamina and can maintain a high output for 12 rounds. Some of the fighters that have given Floyd probs have run out of gas in later rounds (Mosely, Judah), won't happen with Manny
    5. Manny is used to huge events and very experienced. This is key because inexperience and not being used to big stage can be a problem on fight night
    6. Manny is fighting for legacy, his Country. It's extremely important for him to win, he thinks it may help his aspirations of becoming president in Phillipines. Motivation, as we know, is very important. He's also underdog, something that fuels him. When's last time Manny has been underdog?

in any event, there are good reasons, it's just not dumb people with wishful thinking. I don't think fight would ever be this big if people really thought Manny didn't have a chance. Of course, a similar list can be made as to why Floyd should be favorite too.
