People and pundits keep acting like Mayweather's career is about to end and the legal problems are brining the end nearer. I'm not buying it. I honestly see the guy fighting into his 40s; at a high level nonetheless . Here's why: 1. Inside the Ring: His style is such that he has never been in anything resembling a war. There's no talk of "that fight took a lot out of him" about Mayweather and he will continue to use his clout to keep it that way. 2. Outside the Ring: The man is a gym rat who stays in tip top shape year round. That's a lot easier on the body than draining yourself to make weight. Also, he has a spending problem which will neccessitate the influx of cash on a semi-regular basis. I don't see that changing, nor do I see the IRS laxing its enforcement. Lastly, there's the ego. He loves the limelight and knows that's over when he's no longer a boxer. That's my take, what's yours. (Full disclosure: I do not like Floyd, nor am I a *******)
Nope. 1 or 2 more fights and that will be it. He doesn't have the passion anymore and his body won't be able to sustain the training needed to fight at his level for very much longer.
Maybe if he lsot all of his money. I think mayweather taking these long breaks will eventually catch up with him and he will lose badly by ko. Either that or he retires in time. I can see him having no more then 2 fights at this point. Maybe pac and khan.
I think physicaly he deffently can box and win at the highest level. At 40 +. However I have the felling if he dose not have to he is unlikely to fight much longer if not again.
No way. His style is based on having amazing reflexes and hand speed. He'll lose that by then. Heck, he might've lost something since the Mosley fight. He's almost 34!!!
Floyd has earnt over $140 Million and must have some sound investments by now, i dont think he has spent as much as people claim he has.
