Will Floyd beable to run all night though? Margo isn't brilliant technique wise and isn't very quick either but he is quicker and cuts the ring of better than Baldomir so i can see him eventually trapping Mayweather. Will Floyd beable to with stand these attacks? Even if Margo is landing flush it will take a toll on the naturally smaller Mayweather.

Floyd's hands will also come into play. If he hurts them early he will not be able to pull the trigger as much and Margo could win rounds just on work rate.

It's easy to write of Margo because of his apparent lack of skills but he is naturally so much bigger than Floyd. If they both fought in their proper weight divisions then Margo is probably 3-4 weight divisons bigger than Floyd. Take this into account along with Floyd's brittle hands and Margos rock of a head and these could be what swings the fight in Margos favour.

If Floyd's on the top of his game (which he nearly always is) and his hands hold up then i would pick him but it will not be easy. Margo will ask questions of him that Floyd has never had to answer before.

I know this fight isn't as attractive as Mayweather v an undefeated Cotto but i really do hope Floyd comes out of retirement for it.

All I gotta say is if you don't want Floyd to step in the ring with Margo you need to stop watching boxing.

Where's the proof of this? I mean I agree that Mayweather would win but what's with the unsubstantiated crap?

And even though it's consensus that Mayweather has the style to beat Margo easily, I think PBF himself has serious doubts. He is nowhere near as confident in his vast abilities as he likes people to believe, and I'm 100% certain he would, if pressured enough, crack mentally in the ring.

Margo isn't the person to do that however. Williams and Cotto can.

Mayweather potshots him to a boring but clear UD, it won't be pretty like the Baldomir fight.

Amazingly. I think Cotto would be a harder fight for Floyd than Margarito. It's matter of styles

Most probably floyd does that and Margarito ends the fight stalking him hopelessly. The other situation is that same Mayweather that struggled at times against 5'6'' tall hatton taking and taking on the ropes and shoulder rolling - Margo splashes the corner camera again with Floyd's blood and probably damages his insides pretty bad... And consider how Mayweather and children were suffering after overcoming Hatton, just imagine what would be Mayweather resting in peace and at Tony's feet... His children would need therapy after that one. Floyd doesn't have the balls to run this risk.

Margarito has nowhere near the footspeed as Ricky Hatton. Seriously.

I have always considered Margarito's style to be a nightmare to PBF, and for this reason, I think PBF avoided him.

Both Cotto and PBF are superior to Margo skillwise, but he has attributes/skills that supports his style(great stamina, toughness, high punchoutput, great chin, and like Cotto a mean bodywork.).

Margo would punch alot of holes against PBF, but it would be difficult for PBF to fend off Margo endlessly.

He is a modern taller and lighter version of Harry Greb, imho.

Actually I could see this fight unfolding exactly the same way Cotto - Margarito did. Floyd outboxing a plodding Margo but eventually getting caught.
