PBF basically made 24/7. His 24/7's are the best. 24/7 is basically ove without him. 24/7 just aint the same without him.
Too many of you base this Margarito vs. Mayweather on some version of Mayweather who doesn't exist anymore. You try to take all his best qualities like he was still @ 130 or 135 and think he'll still have them @ 147 AGAINST A BIG WW. I swear, for some of you Mayweather fanboys, it's like you don't even watch him anymore. This would NOT be Mayweather fighting someone naturally or close to his size. There isn't a punch Mayweather has that could hurt or ever slow down Margarito. And I see a lot of "If Cotto could outbox Margarito for 6 rounds...." assuming just because Cotto had success, Mayweather would automatically do the same thing? Are you for ****in real? Thinking because Cotto had early success means Mayweather would tells a great deal of the level of knowledge this board has as a collective. Simple answers w/o a great deal of analysis put to use. For starters, there's no guarantee Mayweather would be as aggressive as Cotto was. **** guys...when was the last time you saw Mayweather reallty go after someone? Gatti? You saw what happened when Cotto wasn't moving. DO you guys expect Mayweather to just RUN all night? Mayweather would need to take risks to get to Margarito. ANd I don't even know if he would. Look at how pressure from Judah early on kept him in it and winnig rounds. DLH, when laying his offense out using a jab often, kept Mayweather on the defensive. EVen hatton's smothering bothered Mayweather. And we saw what Castillo did in their first fight. All that is NOT to say Mayweather cannot eve handle pressure, but it says quite a bit about what bothers him today. Basically, Mayweather would need to completly outbox Margarito to win. No way he can KO or TKO Margarito. Margarito's already taken much more from bigger and harder hitting fighters. But how would Mayweather outbox Margarito? MY constantly backing up? Mayweather would need to connect A LOT to really win. It's not just upping his punch stat numbers. Who cares if you outland the guy if your punches are NOT doing anything? You do not automaticaly win just because you landed more. They have to be effective. And it's doubtful Mayweather can keep moving away to gain his room, try to keep a high output, AND play defence all effectively. Lets face it, Mayweather's shoulder roll isn't the best defense for a body puncher. Margarito would get hit, yes, but he'd also be layig leather on Mayweather a lot as well. Sure he'll miss a lot, that comes with the territory of being a volume puncher. But what does connect will hurt Mayweather more then what Mayweather connects on Margarito. Some of you guys need to judge Mayweather on the 147 Mayweather, not the best version ever of Mayweather. He's long gone.
Hatton's power means nothing when discussing Margarito - Mayweather. Keep that in mind. So how do you win a fight going a full 12 on your bike? Especially against an tough as nails aggressive volume puncher? If he was on his bike for a full 12, he would NOT land as many clean or meaningful punches. Hell, not even as many as Cotto did. And if he doesn't do that, he's not winning rounds.
Is that all you can say? :huh Care to break down how you think it will go? Or if you think I'm wrong, tell me what I said was wrong with reasons why. Reasons based in reality that is. Not just the same old "Mayweather is faster..." or "Maywerather is too skilled..." stuff that people seem to think passes as an analysis.
If any of us try to break down a Mayweather fight you come in calling us idiots and we know nothing. Pointless to debate Mayweather with you.
LoL. Whats up man? I knew you were gonna give me a hard time. I think if the two were to fight, I think Mayweather should demand that both fighterw weigh in at 147lbs on fight night.
Wrong. I call you idiots when you're acting like one. Which you've been doing quite a bit lately. Why don't you try to give it a break down if you can. Not some bull**** 1 or 2 line post. Try give examples and post the HOW he wins. At least that's what I did.
When I broke down how I thought a Mayweather-Cotto fight would go, you said I was a stupid. I said Uppercuts would play a factor (like they did in Cotto-Margo) but what do I know.
Cotto fought the wrong type of fight, can we all agree on this? Cotto is an offensive fighter who goes to the body who went in there experimenting and fighting with his seond best style. Margo is too big for that. Mayweather is much better than Cotto is in that style, as it is his primary one. Mayweathers fitness and stamina are better than Cotto, everything Cotto was successful at vs Margo PBF does better. The better defense and fitness equal May by boring ass decison potshoting and moving all day.
