I'd be pretty scared if it was actually possible to 'reverse' a double leg into a flying triangle, but it isn't so I'm not too worried about it

Narvaez signed the contract, he took the fight, he put on the gloves and he walked out to the ring. That means he's obligated to FIGHT, come hell or high water. That's his job, that's what he signed up for.

I'm fine with the way Narvaez fought. It wasn't like he was fighting a mega star which if that was the case there would be a ton of pressure on him to go all out. He was fighting in a weight class which he has no business in. I enjoyed seeing his great defense. People underrate the way he slipped and dodged Donaire's punches. On some occasions he made Donaire look like an amateur by missing badly. Very sweet moves.

Would I be excited about Narvaez's future fights? No. But for a B side he's fine. His effort against Donaire isn't in the same category as Clottey and Mosley's performance against Pac. Mosley misled the public into thinking he was going to go to war with Pac. And Clottey basically shelled up against a smaller guy, took his paycheck and ran. To this day he is still MIA.

Narvaez felt the power early, was hurt and went into survival mode. I can't blame him but it's a shame an undefeated world champion with his whole country behind didn't take a few more risks.
