I see people are already discrediting Loma’s win over Rigo...

I was one of few who said Rigo would win. I don’t think it’s this huge feat cause like you said it’s two weight classes above. But Loma beat the **** out Rigo he made arguably one of the best defensive fighters quit on his stool

Smart boxing fans were discrediting the fight from the moment it was made.

you are leaving out that it was a questionable split decision and only lomas second pro fight.

do you give floyd any credit for beating manny? because manny had moved up something like eight weight divisions.

It's a good win. I'd rate it a lesser version of Floyd's win over Marquez.

Flo, that wasn't everyone. You are citing two troll threads and a couple of knuckleheads who don't know what they are talking about. Everyone knew that Rigo had no chance. That's why the odds were 4 to 1 against him. I put everything I had on Loma with the vbookie. I thought about betting for the KO but I figured he might run and hold all night and just loose every round.

People should have been discrediting Rigondeaux the moment he opened his cake hole. He knew he had no chance of winning this fight and it was a cash out. Roc Nation stopped paying him a kings ransom to fight on Liam Williams undercards. Same reason Cotto & Ward left.

If he wanted to fight decent fighters he wouldn't have ducked Lomachenko a couple of years, Jamie McDonnell last year and priced himself out v Frampton depite being on a set wage anyway. People who can't see through guys like Rigondeaux BS is beyond him- they claim they are hardcore because they are fans of Rigo but they are casual as **** because they believe Rigo is really avoided.

2nd pro fight is pure BS as I and others have pointed out many times. Why do fans have to sugar coat everything?

DUH. The definition of pro fighting, is you get paid to box. I'm sure Loma has had better amateur opposition than say a young Mexican pro fighter where fighters are local village boxers. So not only was Loma pro already, he has much better experience than most early career pros with his Olympic pedigree.

Why do you think Canelo had almost a 40-0 record at 23 when he fought Mayweather? He was getting paid in his "amateur" years. Yet Canelo was still considered green when he fought Floyd.

Haters are an integral part of any boxing star. :) Let's not forget, for example, that millions of people watched Mayweather's fights just to see him lose. He didn't mind as long as that gave him more and more money. :)

It was a total shock to nearly everyone, how Lomachenko completely dominated Rigondeaux. I never thought the fight would be that one sided, and especially that Rigo would quit on his stool.

The excuse of the hand wasn't a surprise as most quitters come up with an excuse, but when he actually had the stones to say he only lost because of his hand...what can one say....hopefully he will retire or be relegated to fighting in small towns, back alleys and crumbling barrios. No need to see him again.
