Froch, Bute, Glenn Johnson, Ant and Andre Dirrell, Rosinsky, Kessler, and Allen Green beat Sergio Martinez. This is why he doesn't want to do **** and call out bigger fighters to make his name, but talks of boiling down to ****ing 150.
It's a forgone conclusion Ward would dominate Sergio. Sergio is not a supermiddleweight, he's barely a middleweight. Ward wouldn't stop him though.
So what? He also was outboxed by JT before he KO'd him, was out boxed by Dirrell before the DQ, and embarassed by Ward. Sergio doesn't possess the physical tools nor style to give Abraham any problems, especially with Abraham's power and defense.
Will Rosinsky? No way bro. Guy isn't athletic enough and has a tiny 69 or 70 inch reach. I think Maravilla would box his ears off. But yea, the other guys on your list would work Martinez.
Not only would Ward badly outbox Sergio, I think he would stretch him somewhere in the middle rounds. He may not be a big puncher at SMW or LHW, but compared to JMW and MW he would be a monster I bet, not only that but he has more than enough speed and accuracy to catch Sergio repeatedly. When a guy is bigger and faster than another fighter, that is a massive advantage, add into the mix the fact that Ward is also more skilled and accurate a puncher than SM, and it's basically a foregone conclusion that this fight ends in a stoppage, early to middle rounds.
I think it would be competitive but in the end, yea, I think Green would KO him. Green is nowhere near Martinez based on skill level alone and p4p abilities, but unfortunately size does play a pretty big role in boxing. Martinez started his career at WW and is a small MW. The guy walks around in between 154-160 pounds. Allen Green may not be the most skilled boxer and isn't champion material, but he has decent physical tools, skills, and also has good speed and power at SMW. I think he would stop SM anywhere from round 9 on after being a close and entertaining fight.
I gotta give Serg his props for calling out Ward. Kinda like Hearns calling out Hagler. If he wins, the sky is the limit.
