Joshua is beatable but I don't think Takam is the man to beat him. He might look good at times in the fight but I think Joshua will stop him in the 8th round. The person to beat Joshua needs to be a good combination of toughness, stamina and power. Takam is tough and his stamina might be a bit better than Joshua's but he doesn't have the power to finish Joshua off I don't think.
To beat AJ you need a granite chin and to work his body hard. Takam has a solid chin, but the accumulation will get to him between 6-8 I think. If he's sensible he'll go to town on AJ's body exclusively for the first few rounds. That'll sap AJ's energy and bring his hands down. Then is the time to strike.
Takems style might be interesting if he gets inside and can stay up right late in the fight there is every chance AJ will gas.... But he's been stopped before by someone who doesn't hit as hard as Joshua and his best win arguably an ancient tony thompson. If it goes past 6 it could be interesting but I'm expecting Joshua to try and take him out between round 1 and 4
Vitali was much younger and uber professional in comparison to the aging lazy Lewis who just thought he had to show up to beat Johnson and TBF was prob right in that regard. So you had an older, complacent and often lazy fading champ getting two weeks notice against someone who would would go on to dominate the division who having had a good camp only really had to adjust for a style change.
Takam is durable but has he been hit by anyone as hard as AJ hits, I doubt it. No upset in this one folks.
Yeah, the fact that he got up and went on the win the fight in the late rounds proved a lot. Virtually every heavyweight can be knocked out or beaten to a stoppage anyway, and many of them usually are sometime or another, so I don't know why people on these forums get so obssessed with "questioning chins". At heavyweight. A heavyweight might have a brilliant chin but if a 240 pound opponent catches him with a solid shot or three, it could be the end or the beginning of the end. The real question should be about whether these fighters have good defence. If they are routinely open to big punches then they are going to get KO'd, even if they have a good chin.
People pay to watch AJ as they know he goes in there to fight and take his opponent out. It may mean he takes a few but that's what makes him popular.
