I'm not the biggest fan of Ricky Hatton. I admire him but I usually slightly resent him getting more recognition than a certain Welsh boxer from time to time.

I have just watched a few clips of the 24/7 show they did on the fight and I have decided to throw all my old thoughts out of the window for this fight. Hatton is just a nice guy, a good Dad and will be prepared to go through anything to beat Mayweather. Mayweather on the other hand, is one of the biggest ****s I've ever come across. That pad work bull**** is laughable, I hope he retires and goes bankrupt. What would boxing be like without him? It'll miss his skills in the ring but not his "personality" - of which he has none - the boring little **** is acting his own hype.

I find it difficult to think that Hatton can win BUT I really hope he does for the sake of the better man, some humble pie for Mayweather and so on.

So here's my good luck to England's best boxer on December 8th! :good

I can certainly understand a Calzaghe fan's slight resentment of Ricky Hatton, Calzaghe being a more complete boxer, and now cementing his place in the top 5 p4p rankings, however Franky Boy Warren has held Joe back for too long, he should have been fighting the elite 5-6 years ago.

Joe needs to go it without Frank now, get the big names, fight in the States, like Hatton did when he disposed of Frank's services, then he may be able to come from behind Hatton's shadow.

Both are a great credit to British boxing along with Clinton Woods, David Haye, Enzo Maccarinelli, JUnior Witter, Gavin Rees and the host of hot young amateurs coming through the ranks.

Too bad all the good thoughts in the world won't help Hatton beat Mayweather.I too would love to see Floyd rolling on the canvas in agony with a compound fracture of his rib.But thats not going to happen anytime soon, and especially not against Hatton.
