I smell bull**** regarding Frankie Gavins weight

Nah mate. My guess is he doesn't know the right foods to eat to get ripped.

He was overweight at the Olympic Games. Its his thing unfortunately...atsch

 

By the sounds of the Olympics tho there was no way he making the weight.

 

If you mean welterwight - that was about 4 years ago.

I was going to make a thread on Nkosinathi Joyi, but for whatever reason I think a good few people are going to be somewhat distracted......

 

He is a growing lad of 25 and has said he has grown tired of boiling down to too low a weight.

Make of that what you will.

He does not look in good shape & is tiny compared to to the best at 147

 

Yep sadly your probably right mate.

 

He couldn't have boiled that hard. He has never been in good shape. Ever. I have never seen him even close to 10% fat.

 

I'll save my monotonous ramblings on small men for another day I suppose.

With regards to the Olympic's, Frankie had not fought at light-weight since he won the world games in Chicago and had moved up to light-welter but politics with-in the G.B squad and higher power's thought they was smart and tried to take there strongest squad knowing that Frankie was not gonna make Lightweight but they still moved on with there own stupid idea's and would not be told. Secondly not all boxer's are ripped, this does not mean there fleshy or can't make weight, Frankie is just one of them fighter's that don't rip up just like George Grove's, like Saul Alvarez to name just a couple. Frankie can make Light-welter but will fight where at what ever division the breaks come at. This is a Welterweight Title Fight where the weight class is 147lb which is what he weighed so don't see the problem.

 

His physique looked terrible. The guy looked like he should be down at 135.
