easier/cheaper for ****** to get purdy/watson in with gavin for a british title fight than theophane.

there are some bad examples being pulled out here. calzaghe was always a lot more defined and carrying less body fat than gavin and was a really big super middle.

gavin is an average size light welter and a small welter. he undoubtedly has skills and equally undoubtedly is carrying too much body fat and should be down at 140.

there is no hint of his ribs or a 6 pack. genetically he might not have the ebst body to work on but he is carrying too much fat. that is fact. this combined with the rumours about his dedication etc cast a worry. he defo could shed a lot of weight from his current physique but couldnt make 144? why not? is he unfit an they want every poss advantagwe in this fight? doesnt make sense to me and all those defending him need to wake up a little and look at the evidence in front of them....

Would love to see Gavin in with Watson/Purdy II winner (Watson IMO :bbb) and hopefully summat like that will happen as Curtis looked tiny next to him and isn't that good a fighter anyway (even though I like Frankie, and rooting for Curtis as he is a massive underdog and I didn't like the treatment he got at that press conference the other week ;-))

Gonna' be a good card tonight mind.

Bit gutted Frankie cant make 140 anymore, hopefully he develops into a strong welter tho.

How do you guys think he will fare at welter?

I think he will get ****ed in the arse by the top 15 welters.

The lad needs to eat right and train right or he will end up like me. A ****in nobody.

A lot of my fears for him appeared to come to fruition tonight. Obviously hard to tell due to not being able to see the whole thing, but the closeness of the fight and the kind of shots he was caught with speak for themselves really.

I take this back, well partially, you still (Jonesy/Rob) go overboard sometimes. But, after listening to McGuigan and watching the highlights of that fight with Woodhouse I have to say, Gavin needs to drop 'Funtime' as a moniker and get himself better conditioned to fight at light welter. I still give Woodhouse credit, I am glad to gave a very good account of himself, he is a good fighter.
