Just look at the 8 fighters at the weigh in.

6 are ripped, Tony's ok & Gavin looks awful. Look how big some of the top guys are at 140 compared to him & now he's fighting at 147?

Some body types retain more fat & dont get good definition but he does not look like professional boxer.

Ok, so let all boxer's have a physique like david haye to prove there professional fighter's and there in shape so they can struggle to throw 25 punches a round and suffer stamina issue's but that will be ok because they look in shape......................................................................................... Get a grip you bunch of fool's

    Cheers mate.

I'm on my phone now, but if I don't do one by this evening I'll do one at some point tomorrow, whether anyone cares or not.:yep

P4P top 5(there or there abouts) in terms of ability. You heard it here first. Unfortunately, the fact he's a strawweight doesn't exactly help his cause.

Well i also know what i am on about m8 seen as i work in the sport and don't just sit at home on my computer talking ****:think Look at the picture above and tell me where he looks excessively fleshy or out of shape:shock: Ok so he's not ripped at 147lb but to say he does not look like a professional fighter and he looks out of shape is ridiculous and if you and the so called 20 people on this thread are hard core boxing fan's and know what your talking about and you think this is a correct observation then you obviously don't know as much as you think you all do.

Some fighters never look great ascetically but from my POV Gavin's been more ripped for some fights then others. I can't comment on lad's workrate in the gym but his body at the moment isn't that of a 147 fighter. Most of the 147 top guys are Elite athlete's and he needs to build body into that weight. He's taller then i thought when i saw press pics of him and Curtis. SportsLeader felt same as well.

I believe he may needs a hard fight. A gutcheck of some sort to see where he's at fitness wise because that's what really matters not his abs. Also to see him fighting out of his normal pattern would be nice. To many fights pan out to be the same way with him dictating mostly because opposition is just inferior to him. He needs tests because for me he's winning without much fuss. Which is good but can be a negative in the long run.

Alvarez and Groves are bad examples, both of them are reasonably toned.

A better example would be Juan Diaz.

You know some boxers are just not naturally able to look ripped. Just look at Brandon rios, he doesnt look like hes in particularly good shape but hes able to fight at a solid pace for th full fight, and even get stronger as it goes one. In saying that Frankie doesnt look out of shape to me, a few of you are blowing this weight thing out of proportion.

Your all the same so called boxing experts that had david haye to beat klitschko. Former world champion's and world class operators will tell you that frankie gavin is the best natural talent this side of the atlantic, and one of the best in the world, he also has one of the best boxing brain's in the world, so that's not just silly old me who know's nothing trying to tell you this, the like's of oscar dela-hoya plus many more mega star past and present fighter's will tell you the same. So you computer hero's who are t.v & internet boxing experts look at your un-ripped picture and make what you will of it. I hope to see you all on a new thread after the fight on saturday night to see what **** you have to say. Have a good weekend experts ;)

147 is the wrong weight for gavin imho he will come against some pretty big figthers at the weight, boxing is not to be played with its got to be 110% dedication as thier health is on the line each and every time, saying he goes where ever the oppertunity comes from is ridiculous imo is there no plan like english ,british, commenwealth then worlds at a specfic weight sounds all pretty mixed up to me, just my opioion mind
