I for some reason think it's judah, because he's known and he has a title at welterweight, also we know canelo likes fighting washed up welterweights,so judah fits the profile.

Either way its a ridiculous defence. Surely there must be someone he can fight with a bit of credibility at 154?

I did a thread on this and have yet to get an answer:lol: Sources are saying Mayorga is the leading candidate and has even gone public by saying the deal will be reach by Tuesday. Not sure were the history part comes, unless if they put this on national t.v. for free:good

Sorry, didn't mean to stomp on your thread. Worthy ones often go unanswered and quickly buried. :good

Free TV wouldn't be history. As a kid I used to get to watch that all the time. They were big enough events that they weren't relegated to weekends either. The world took time out to make room for them. I used to get to stay up later on school nights for them too.

    Not a probelm and I agree:good

On the other hand I would love to see boxing go on a big network and televise a fight like they used to as you mention. I feel this will be the only way GBP will compete with the Chavez/Martinez bout. Unfortunately putting two cards on the same night is something I think hurts the sport in some ways. These selfish guys with big egos should realize that.

These to companies really do need to work together for the good of boxing in general though.
