I spoke to Paul Williams briefly about the Cintron incident and making 147lbs.

We all left on the same flight to Augusta, GA on Sunday morning. During the layover in Charlotte, as I always do, I talked briefly with Paul Williams (Petey as a few of us call him) about the whole weekend and what it meant.

I think he gets a little camera shy and tries to say just the right things when he's doing official interviews. When he's around friends and family he's a lot more relaxed.

You gotta understand, he's not used to this media attention, and it's all still a big dream for him. He probably feels the same way you or I would feel if we all of a sudden had the chance to walk out in the ring in front of the world on HBO and fight.

Haha, yeah I gotcha man. To me, he comes off like he's a lot smarter than he seems. Was just teasing.

    Thanks NBA.

Would love to see PW against Pac or Mayweather if them two don't get it on.

Unfortunately i can't see it happening. PW is to risky for WW.

I wouldn't mind if PW boxed a bit more and used his height and reach to his advantage against certain opponents. It would make him an all around better fighter and prolong his career more. Still, you've got to love a fighter with an attitude like PW's. The guy is a true warrior.

I don't know. I don't think so. I think he just knows that people don't turn to HBO and say "We're about to watch Paul Williams the master technician as he dissects opponents round after round!"

He knows the only reason he gets fights on HBO right now is because they need stars who actually scrap it out, and aren't afraid to take punches in the meantime.

I don't know why you paid any attention to these hating ass mother****ers who want to talk about why the man gets nervous and says "know what I"m saying " . **** them, they are just looking for a way to hate or tear down the man. Half of them don't say **** when their favorite fighter say "uhhh" 500 times in a interview.

Yeah you know...those first 3 rounds when his trainer had him hold back were probably the most uneventful rounds of his career.

Layover? ****, maybe Mayweather should give the guy a fight so he can get some of those direct flights.

Williams needs to forget about 147. He's not going to get any big fights there. He needs to just focus on 154 and 160. He can make a name for himself there.
