I spoke to Paul Williams briefly about the Cintron incident and making 147lbs.

True, Paul Williams is a throwback. He gave me two of my favorite fights in the last five years. Williams/Margarito is my favorite modern classic. :good

Yeah, Paul wasn't afraid to trade from the very beginning. That cautious strategy was something that Peterson wanted to employ on purpose so that Paul could feel him out and perhaps take advatage of his height for a few rounds and give Kermit a chance to fade a bit. Aftrwards you could tell he was really dissapointed with the whole night.

I also feel like he could have taken care of business early. And even if he faded a bit in his last fight, I think Kermit would in all likelihood be the one who faded later on in this one.

I don't think Kermit was expecting this strategy, but he seemed to handle it pretty well. I talked with Kermit after the fight, and I actually told him that up to the incident he was fighting a much better fight than I was accustomed to seeing him fight.

I didn't talk **** to Kermit, because ya know, you gotta respect these guys, no matter how tough we think we are on these goddamn keyboards. These guys are out there in front of the whole world taking a chance with their lives. I still got respect for Kermit, because he was the absolute coolest boxer I have met outside the ring.

Probably a strategy to make him sit on his punches a bit. By slowing him down it could make Paul think more about the ones he did throw?

A fight with Mosely is his biggest chance at recognition. IF he couls somehow use his height early against Shane and then batter him mercilously in the latter rounds after Shane tires... A lot of casual fans, as well as Ring announcers and other media guys, will be talkingabout a matchup with him and Floyd.

True. Margarito beat Williams into a blood pulp and Williams did not give up.
