    BJ Flores!!!

He's gonna do like a month seminar on boxing fundamentals. About 100 bucks for the month.

Wish me luck. I have never sparred, punched anything that punched back and or seriously trained.

    I'm 33 about Pac's size so I'm a midget.

    Can't wait.

Tuesdays and Thursdays. I'm signing up for 2 trainers. One will be Flores, the other will be Derrick Harmon (fought RJJ twice) They both teach like an hour class.

Thanks man, I can use it. I have a fear of getting knocked out. I'd like to experience this for some strange reason.

I just want to learn the fundamentals and get a good workout. My body is slowing up and i'd like to stay in as much shape as possible.

    well, that was fun.

There were about 16 people at his boxing fundamentals class. He showed the correct way to throw a hook. I did not know there were so much kinesiology behind just a punch.

The worst exercise for me was going straight at the bag for 2 minutes followed by 20 pushups.

Very kool and humble guy. He told us the story of how he fought Ding a Ling Wilson and had a few bad rounds towards the end. He tried to illustrate that you gotta finish strong just like in training.

He also said that he may be on the co-main event of the Hopkins-RJJ fight and would fight the winner should he get past his guy.

My torso is f'n aching. Could have went to a massage parlor on the way home on the bus. But, I let logic rule the way.

Actually, I think i'm under doing it. I'd like to stay at the gym longer than 2 hours. I'll work my way up Marquez style eventually.

And I've been eating like hell since. Like this morning, had egg mcmuffin, hash browns, OJ. then I worked out. 2 hours later, I ate 3 fried catfishes, a cup of collared greens, 2 glasses of sweet ice tea. Followed by 2 Red Stripe Jamaican Lager, 1 Dos XX's. Then like at 4 pm I had a PB&J Unsnackable...Then like at 9 PM, I had a 1 pound Ribeye Steak, salad, 3/4ths baked potato, cup of Veggies. Still felt hungry so I ordered an atkins diet plain hamburger patty, a bowl of cottage cheese and a slice of tomatoes.

What would you cut out of this diet? I'm trying to lose weight but I know this ain't the right way to do it unless, I workout afterwards too.

Mcmuffin n browns i would say if your serious about trianing would have to gomalso the Red stripe (maybe for special occasions), I stick by the rule if it dont grow dont eat it which is a pretty sensible way to fuel your body when partaking in serious training!

That sounds great! I remember you telling me about Derrick Harmon being at the gym you go to. Are you going to be thinking about doing any competition type things, amateur, etc...?

eventually. But first this gut HAS to go. I'm gonna focus on cardio, diet and stomach exercises. Maybe hire a nutritionist. At 33 and no real experience I wouldn't mind being a professional tomato can for some up and comer.

Wizard, I was really excited about Flores teaching the class. And the best part, its FREE!!

Cool, how well can you throw punches properly so far?
I'd do some amateur fights before going pro if I were you.
Maybe we should spar when I get to Las Vegas? It seems I'm considerably bigger than you but I'd take it easy.:bbb:good

Boxing is a great workout. But some people don't like to get hit in the face. Get in shape 1st. Have seen guys who say they want 2 box get their ass handed 2 them and never return!!
