I still believe Cotto would dismantle Mayweather.

And while Floyd is backpedaling Cotto would be coming in a straight line and Floyd would get used to his movements quickly. You just look at how you think Cotto would just bully Floyd but you're not thinking at all about how well Floyd adjusts which is very biased on your part. Maybe perhaps you think Floyd is featherfisted and would not be able to hurt Cotto or get his attention. IMO Cotto may get fustrated fighting Floyd because Cotto has NEVER fought a fighter of that caliber. Cotto can give Floyd a good fight, but dismantle? I don't think so bro.

    To answer your questions -
I have seen & have every one of Cotto's fights on DVD.
I have been boxing on and off all my life and grew up in N.Philly fighting at the gym at broad & glenwood ave. That's Frazier's Gym for the people not familiar with Philly.

Now let's discuss this further .... I stated CLEARLY that if anyone wanted to see as close to a preview as tthey can get .. to a Cotto vs Floyd fight ... watch the Bruseles fight. Cotto was Bruseles primary sparing partner for the Floyd fight and Cotto's uncle E. Cotto trained them both. Bruseles fights just like Cotto .. but without the power.

IMHO Cotto is more of a Brawler than a boxer. He has yet to face someone with Floyds skillset and when they were both in Arums camp ... Arum stated for the record that Cotto wasn't ready at that time to face someone as skilled as Floyd. Such a matchup between the two would have to come later after Cotto gained more experience.

WHO has Cotto faced with a skillset equal to Floyds?????
Floyd has faced many brawlers and has out boxed them all.

My money is on Floyd all the way!!!!!

I agree that Cotto would win. I think his style is perfect for beating mayweather. he is fast, hits fairly hard and has good movement and a good chin.

I think Mayweather wins a clear UD over Cotto, but Cotto will have his moments.

NO your just a fool. Cotto gets caught alot by Boxers way slower then Mayweather. you living in this fantasay world where you think hes attirbuts can be offset, and Mayweather will throw combos on Cotto not just potshot

Cotto could not even beat the flat footed slow plodding Margarito. PBF would murder him.

True but that has nothing to do with the original point of my response.

You said that he couldnt attack Marg's body so how will he be able to attack May's...

In which I retorted explaining why Marg's body WASNT hit and why Floyd's will be and that making an observation about what Cotto didnt do in a fight with a fighter that's completely different in style, size, and punching power is a complete fallacy.

So again. I'm pretty sure Cotto will not only hit his body, but beat down on those shoulders the same way he ****ed up Branco's. Floyd's pretty brittle.

I still favor Mayweather regardless...not because of his supposed attributes but because of his capability of changing his gameplan sucessfully.
