I think he looked ordinary in his last fight...I wanna see him up against Gamboa to be honest...if he looks bad tonight its clear he isn't what he was claimed to be...But if he has a good night and takes the Gamboa-Mtagwa winner than he is clearly gonna be something to watch..these next 2 fights that Lopez has will say alot about him...they are by far the 2 most important fights in his career thus far should he choose to take the winner

I saw Luevano fight Dib and I thought he looked pretty good but I don't think on JuanMa's level.

  5. He's looked like **** in his last two fights and I wasn't even all that impressed when he fought Lockett. I anticipate Luevano to give him hell and to drag him into the later rounds and drown him.

He's good.He got underrated after he was hurt with Mtagwa. Before that I think he was overrated.

He''ll beat Luevano who is a good fighter but nothing explosive.

Doesn't make him close to the top of the sport.

Bandwagon jumpers will be jumpin Pharoah. That's how it is.

I think if (and when) he handles Luevano convincingly, people will jump back on.

wat makes him one of the best in the sport ? his amazing victories over medina, figueroa and lontchi ? or his beat down of an old career bantemweight journey man or is it his terrific performance against some guy called mtagwa ?

Luevano isnt **** really! decent thats all, no great shakes so its no big deal Juanmma blasting this very ordinary guy.

No one is really going to be doing cartwheels no matter how good Juan looks against this very lukewarm foe.

However should Luevano put it on his ass or make him look bad that will tell you all you need to know about a guy who I think needs a lot to prove after looking like **** last fight. This fights a set-up to make JuanMa look dont be fooled.

If he can blast Luevano out early he should be fine but if he doesn't he could be in for a closely contested decision. I think the good news is Luevano doesn't have the best chin unlike Caballero who has been calling him out for a while now.

JML was lucky Mtagwa is only an average puncher with sloppy technique or he would have been KTFO. He has to show more to beat Gamboa who is very athletically gifted despite possessing a shaky chin himself.

He is one the best fighters around those weights. However, IMHO he still has a lot to prove to be considered as one of the best in the boxing world right now. In my eyes he has looked kind of drained and slow in his last fights. I guess Im one of those people who thought he could replace Cotto when I saw the way he dispatched PDL (who many thought was going to be a tough fight for him) but other people thought would be easy because PDL was not a boxer and just a puncher. The fights that are going to put JML's name in everyone's mouth are going to be versus Gamboa and Caballero, if he gets passed those two in a spectacular fashion we will be talking about JML the same way we talk about other greats from the 90s. Luevano is a test dont take me wrong but I dont see him beating JML....
