We all love Deontay and hope he comes back soon. He brought excitement to the division which Fury and AJ just can't generate

I wouldn't mind seeing Wilder smash Whyte to the canvas.

Apart from that I'm meh about him.

The Fury-AJ fight will be bigger than anything Wilder has ever been a part of. He was exciting but I suspect history will remember him as a can crusher, a guy with a record padded with faded and lower skilled opponents. He gave Fury a shot but only because he thought it was going to be easy because most people thought Fury was a shot fighter. The rematch was brutal and he needs to establish himself as a guy who can beat credible opponents, not a can crusher. I hope he can do it but he’s going to have to prove he’s more than a guy who can beat outmatched no hope opponents.

Ok Fury has the beating of Wilder, but who is to say the rest of the division has?

Wilder still has good earning potential, as former champ who has the punch to dramatically change course of a fight.

A few more decent purses, a possible title shot and the retirement fund will be secure.

Wilder says he is a warrior, so needs to forget the excuses and get back into the squared circle, wearing a lightweight dressing gown for the ring walk of course

Wilder just needs 1 win against a decent opponent like Hunter, Pulev or Rivas. He should also get in there and beat one of the likes of prospects in Dychko, Hrgovic, Yoka, Ajagba, Dubois, Wallin etc to at least convice people he can still opperate at world level

He should fight Ruiz and whether he looses or not. If he can hold his own and even DROP Ruiz then he can solidify himself as a wold class opponent as Ruiz has been in there against the likes of Parker and has a win over Anthony Joshua

Helenius is ok, that would actually be a great tune up because he'd actually be one of Wilders best wins

You are probably right. In the meantime, does it make sense for Wilder to just sit around and wait for the fight? You would think he’d want to get back in the ring and prove he can still fight. Might want to lose the ring walk gimp suit this time.
