I still think Ward fights Kovalev at the end of 2016.

That's what the HBO deal is supposed to be, now whether or not their plans come to fruition remains to be seen. You can't immediately right him off because of your doubt. It's already been confirmed that Kovalev is part of that agreement. He's moving in the right direction, just because you wanted him there yesterday doesn't mean he won't be there tomorrow.

Well said. I call those guys "now" guys because they do all of the talking BEFORE **** happens and don't have **** to say when it does happen. Perfect example. Garcia was scared of Matthysse. Garcia wins. Garcia landed low blows and ignored the rabbit punches Matthysse threw. "Now" guys. I don't waste my time talking about them or fight possibilities.

Well Ward did turn down some of the offers by HBO such as Gonzales. But a lot of the other contenders were not available, for example Dominic Boesel is rated #1 by the WBO, he last fought in September. Two months is not enough time to prepare for Ward. Dominic Boesel would have been the perfect opponent for Ward because beating him would make Ward mandatory for Kovalev's WBO belt. He had a problem just simply getting a rated LHW to fight him, that should you tell everything. I looked at some of the fighters records and a lot of have them just fought recently or are scheduled to fight this year.

As long as Ward and Kov are on collision course, I don't care who he fights as a tune up.

I don't know what's going on in Ward's camp. As a matter no one knew when Ward was going to fight at LHW until it was reported by Dan Rafael. I heard rumors that HBO offered fights for Ward, and Ward turned all of them down such as the Gonzalez fight.

I am wondering why he was having trouble simply getting a rated LHW to fight him, and I looked at the contenders at LHW and a lot of them were not available, hence why he had to get a SMW because they have no trouble gaining weight at short notice. I seriously doubt Ward was happy fighting Brand and that other guy who was suppose to fight him.

EDIT: And you clearly have a reading comprehension problem, I wasn't stating to why Ward couldn't secure a fight on Nov 21, I simply stated that many LHW contenders were not available simply by looking at the list. I am not spreading propaganda to make Ward look good, please stop talking like a dumb b!tch. I'm just trying to figure out why Ward is hurting his legacy with these odd business decisions.

I wonder what an honest % odds would be for Ward Vs Kovalev in 2016.

Like 40% chance? More or less? I would make that a thread with a poll but I know what that would turn into....

Ward hasn't even fought TWICE in one year since 2011 (end of the Super Six). Since then he has fought once in 2012, once in 2013, zilch in 2014, and once in 2015.

Now, he's going to fight THREE times at LHW in 2016, and the third bout is going to be Kovalev? :think

So give a % then. What is the chance Ward vs Kovalev happens in 2016?
