I strongly believe Martin Murray would be a real test-fight for Gennady

Would be a very good fight, Murray always comes to fight.

    GGG stops him late.

At this point, GGG has to take the fights available to him. After Murray, hopefully Martinez will be next.

Ain't so sure about that last. Murray said back in August that he'd been to US embassy for his P1 interview (or something) and was hopeful of it being sorted within the year. If he gets past Wood he's also Genas mando, so I think there's a chance of a US fight sometime in spring.

As you say though, it's probably the most significant fight to be made other than Maravilla. TBH whilst Martin's pretty tough I don't really see him as bringing enough offense to put GGG off his game.

Yes but Murray has been saying he'll be able to fight in the US any day now for over a year.

 I forgot to write it but i agree with your prediciton. I meant to say i think he would give the best fight but i do not see him winning or even having that much success. He'll go into his shell taking alot of punishment and seems more durable than Quillin or Barker but he doesnt have the power or activity to do too much against Gena. I still want it to happen.

i like murray but GGG needs to be fighting champions.

he`s just gonna get slated everytime till he does.

tbh i see martinez as a fading force after the murray fight and GGG is already the best middleweight.

question is which champs will step up and take him on.

Murray is hungry and isn't scared to fight unlike like Quillin. In fact Murray would probably beat Quillin... I would like to see this fight, maybe in England?

yep, with a win over a solid MW like Murray , the demand would increase for sure.

I hope Murray clears his issues with his US visa, otherwise Monaco would be a good venue. :good

I also think Murray beats Quillin.

Actually I think Murray and Barker are tougher opposition for 3G than the shot and old Martinez and than the hyped Quillin.

It's a bit like Mackin fight though, even if he beats him he still would have fought "no one".

That Murray getting robbed by Sturm is the perpetuated notion that a close fight in Germany equals a robbery

I thought it was ironic in a sense that Sturm was robbed of a win by getting a draw after yrs of being accused of getting bad calls in his favor

I thought Murray won vs Martinez but he gave away some early rounds in that guys backyard

I favored him by a point or two and might have given him a round he may not have deserved not to angry at that decision either

That said he would be a good match up for GGG

Murray should be lineal MW Champion right now.

It should have been close on the cards but was clear imo and the no call on the knockdown is what sealed that unfair decision for Murray in a fight he won.

yes, but beating a solid MW like Murray would bring more interest and demand from the people to see Martinez and Quillin fighting 3G. :hey

    :good:deal

Murray beat Martinez or at least he made him look weak and beatable.
