I strongly believe Martin Murray would be a real test-fight for Gennady

  1. Froch is a Polak.

And where is the proof that he has a good chin?? Just overrated like Cleverly's ... who did he fight?? Schooled against a featherfisted Ward, won against a shot, depressed version of AA and bums like Bute and Kessler .. Kovalev and GGG knock this Polak out till round 5.

you're just incredibly dumb and annoying, aren't you. How can you capitalize on this talent? Because, make no mistake, it is a kind of a talent you have.

Wasn't aware that Nottingham was in Poland. Both Bute and Kessler are punchers.Kessler knocked the Mexican guy noted for his chin from one side of the ring to the other.Bute knocked out Brian Magee with a body punch. And no,Im not a Carl Froch fan.

I like Barker, but Murray would do a number on him.
At this point in time i'd favour Murray to be a good test of GGG's ability.

I strongly disagree with Murray being able to test Golovkin. Other than his size he has no great assets, and against Golovkin that just makes him a more ample target.

This guy is being highly overrated from the Martinez fight. Martinez busted his hand on Chavez's head and tore his knee during the knock down. Those injuries never fully healed and were re-aggravated during the training camp for Murray. A subpar fighter in Murray benefited from Sergio's reduced mobility and offense.

Prior, Murray received a gift draw against the same Sturm who was more impressively outworked by Macklin, Geale, and questionably Soliman. Sturm almost put Murray down at the end of that fight and clearly won the championship rounds.

Since the Martinez fight, Murray's turn down offers from Chavez (in Mexico) and Quillin (in the UK), to remain inactive and finally fight in Australia against club fighter Garth Wood. His team is simply holding out for a big payday because he's a pretty limited fighter. With MC putting up big money and HBO possibly coming on board, it's looking more likely Murray may take the MC fight in Feb (assuming he doesn't get too roughed up by Wood). Ironically, I expect him to offer as much resistance as Ishida did last time GGG was in MC.

How did they do that? GBP has a license to promote fights in the UK and they sent an offer to Murray?

What is it with you guys? Fair enough if you favour GGG but why the garbage talk of "glass jawed" and a "coward"? Because Murray is neither this is a guy who went into Sturm and Martinez's back yard.
Would you call him a coward to his face?

Schaeffer was talking about this before they picked Rosado as Quillin's opponent. At first they offered to have Martin come to the US, but with his visa issues they were willing to head to the UK. Murray's manager refused to even talk with GB. GB did Khan's last fight in England.

Cool. Well not really, but it's clear for me now.

The Macklin-Murray-Barker domestic triangle is bound to implode at some point. If Murray backs down from fighting Golovkin, I guess he could fight Macklin and the winner would take on Barker after he either retires Sturm or wins back the belt in a UK rematch.

It looks like Barker could be tied up for a loooooooong time. Supposedly there was a rematch clause with Geale and after testing positive, Soliman is still the mando. And if Sturm wins, it delays everything that much longer given the rematch in England would be in April.

Macklin does have an interesting fight next month in New Jersey with JMW - Willie Nelson.

Dont think there was a rematch clause with Geale, Eastcoast. Strangely enough Sturm didnt think to include one in his contract with Geale ..(I guess he never expected to get robbed like that, although the Murrray 'draw' should have been enough of a warning)..and Geale failed to include one with Barker. In hindsight I bet both regret this a lot!

Doubtful Soliman has much clout really...he is old, discredited by having the PED thing hanging over him, and has an unattractive, unmarketable style anyway.

Hopefully Sturm wins his title back, and puts the whole thing to bed.
If he beats Barker decisively, which I think he will, Barker won't bother pursuing the rematch....no point taking two hidings in a row off the same guy...

Looking forward to seeing Macklin again...
