At first, I wanted Pacquiao to lose when this fight was announced. I dont hate him or anything as he is one of the most humble people you could ever meet. The reason was to get back at his annoying fans here in the Philippines. I was a Pac fan before but my love for boxing grew and slowly my adoration for the guy dwindled as I learned about other fighters and my love for the sport expanded. I'd still watch his fights but if he lost I did not care unlike in the past wherein he loses and Im disappointed. Maybe the hype here annoys me so much that some Pac fans over here tend to act like classless idiots. In my mind, Pac losing would teach this idiots a lesson. So when this fight was announced, I was glad.

But after watching the 24/7 episodes and the weigh-in earlier, slowly but surely my heart is hoping for a Pacquiao win or maybe to look competitive. Dont get me wrong, a DLH win would finally shut some of these idiots up so it doesnt matter as long as Pac doesnt seriously get hurt.

When I saw the weigh-in vid, Pac was engulfed in the situation. We do not know what he is thinking, but IMO, he realized he bit more than he could chew. He looked like a scared little kid out there to be honest judging by his body language. He's been in big fights before but none as big as this. Add to the fact the size disparity between the two, it sure is a recipe for disaster for Pac.

So here's hoping that Pacquiao makes it to the final bell. And in the event he's getting beat up badly, I hope Roach stops it. The guy deserves more fights. I hope this fight does not ruin his career.

A Pacman win is good for boxing, not just for *******s. Pacman vs. Hatton would be a good fight for both fighters legacies, entertaining, and could do huge business. it'd be the biggest fight next year.

Dlh-Hatton does nothing apart for both fighters bank balances. Hatton would be wasting his career away when he should be fighting at 140.

I like both of these guys but I definitley want Pac to win. Oscar is one of those guys that has received the win in some bull**** decisions (Whitaker, Quartey, Sturm). But anytime it happened to him he cried foul (Trinidad, Mosley II). I have never scored De La Hoya-Trinidad so I honestly don't know about that one. The decisions aren't his fault but the crybaby **** is. I think Oscar will win in 9 but I sure hope I'm wrong.

Maybe Roach knows something we don't know. Or, perhaps we already know it but we refuse to believe him. I think Roach knows best because he used to work w/ dela Hoya. All that is needed is a better fight plan for Pac to execute. Remember that Pacquiao is still young and has been actively fighting compared to Oscar. One barometer of Oscar's strength is on how he fought Steve Forbes, a short fighter like Pac. Remember also that Pac is southpaw and Oscar has problems w/ southpaw fighters. Pac is a southpaw w/ a big left straight. Coupled to that, he is a human dynamo or the energizer bunny. Could dela Hoya outlast Pac in this fight w/ his suspect stamina? We shall see these intangibles later tonight.

Calm down, amigo. Everything is going to be alright w/ Pac.
Did you notice how Oscar appeared nervous in that presscon video while
Pac was cool like a cucumber.

By the way, don't mind the "idiotic" fans like me. It's part of the territory of sensational boxers like Pacquiao, dela Hoya, Floyd, etc. It's part of the game. Just focus on the real thing which is boxing.

Oscar is not shot as some people here think. He can still be competitive. If Pac were a natural 147 fighter, then its no question that he would beat Oscar in a very competitive fight. However, Pac is sooo small.

The question isn't if Manny hears the final bell, it's if DLH has a chance to hear it...

Really? I didn't get to see the weigh-in videos, but according to an article I read, the author had said by looking at their body language, he said Pacquiao looked in good mood, waving to his fans and all, while DLH looked serious and sat on the stool, looking as if all that training and coming down in weight has weaken him a bit.. I guess everybody looks at things differently though..
