Why are some on these forums massive fans of Pernell, Floyd, Broner, Lara, Ward, Hopkins, etc. Just grade A snoozefests. I have to struggle through their fights just to keep up on my boxing knowledge.

Then they hate guys like Morales, Mosley, DLH, Manny, Kovalev, GGG. Guys who bring the action and fun.

    Don't Boring fighters bore people?

slap fests where clowning, kiss blowing, running, and face making are the highlights? certain demographics think that's the epitome of great fighting and entertainment.

Because some people just like to watch a tactician, and thinking man's fighter. Some people enjoy the subtleties of an in-ring "genius", and artist whose perfected their craft. Someone who's intelligent enough to slip punches and leave his opponent clueless, find weaknesses and exploit them. Someone's who's so good at what they do, it's damn near art.

Brawls are fun too. My favorites are Mayweather, Ward, and Rigo. Call them boring all you want, I truly enjoy watching them box. Golovkin is the best of both worlds; he boxes beautifully and is exciting. Not that I hate "exciting" fighters, I just don't always find brawls exciting.

Who said we can't love both?

I love tacticians because the tactician will always beat the "exciting fighter".

I like boxer-punchers, punchers and swarmers.

But pure boxers put me to sleep. And it comes across as amateurish to me.

Out of boxers, the only ones I find boring are those who fight dirty... Ward, Wlad, Hopkins (well at least up until recently).

Lara, Rigo, Floyd, Whitaker are all very exciting to me.

On the other hand, I like punchers/brawler type boxers as well and they are certainly exciting but they have to posses a modicum of skill, if they are completely wild and have no technique then I find that boring.

face making should be a point deductible offense.
    1st face made - > warning
2nd face made -> point taken off
    3rd face made -> disqualification!!!:thumbsup

I don't find any of the boxers you mentioned to be what I'd ever describe as "boring". In fact 4 of my favorite fighters ever are evenly split, 2 apiece on your lists.

Lara's last fight I saw on live TV. I couldn't take it. I fell asleep lying on my couch.

I understand what's going on. It just puts me to sleep.

Kind of like some of the stuff I learned in college. I know it like the back of my hand. Still bored the **** out of me.

I don't think you do man.

If you don't like technicians, maybe boxing ain't for you.

Perhaps try your hand at MMA?

There's a little more action there, very befitting for a man of your boxing knowledge.

    Not trying to be offensive.
