DLH was just the final piece that cemented his status. Pac had already built a large following as he kept taking out one Great fighter after another. Do you recall how much people praise Pac after the DLH fight? Pac status was elevated to new heights not just in fame but in his ATG ranking.

I am also bum out that this fight isn't happening, but I just shedding some light on why Pac felt the way he did.

:rofl So... it's his pride that needs to be paid this outrageous amount? So.. it isn't Pac holding this fight back and demanding more money. It is his pride... because he fights for a living.:-( How about Ricky Hatton? He doesn't fight for a living? He doesn't count? No pride for him? The fact that he is the Champion in the division doesn't have anything to do with pride, money, or respect? The fact that Hatton is the bigger draw, and brings more money to the table means nothing either? The only thing that matters is Pac's pride... that he is already being overcompensated for... because he fights for a living.:patsch

So then why did Manny say he would ONLY fight JMM a third time if JMM fought for practically nothing????

    Manny is a greedy ****!

You missing the point. Pac felt his resume as well as p4p status is greater than Hatton's so he took it as a disrespect. Again, money and business wise, I am in agreement with you, it is a big paycheck 50/50 with Hatton. But I am pointing out why Pac is doing what he is doing and it isn't as what you perceived. My comment on fighting for a living was reference to you and me, simply saying we are not fighters and can't relate as much to what fighters believe is their right.

First of all... Hatton was willing to give Pac more than the 50/50... he just wasn't willing to go 60/40. Second.... Pac already has a guarantee way bigger than Hatton, as well as bigger than Pac's when he fought Oscar. Also, Hatton is willing to also split the UK ppv buys with Pac, which he didn't even do with Mayweather. Either way you cut it, Pac stands to make MUCH more money than Hatton based on the uneven split, his much larger guarantee, and Hatton's willingness to split the UK ppv buys with him. So tell me... since this isn't about money... exactly how much does Pac's pride cost?

Do you see what I mean when I say you are blindsided by money and won't be able to understand. Even in your last question, you ask me is how much is Pac's pride cost. Thinking about money again. There is no way for you to see it past dollars, so you might as well give up. :good

I respect your opinion and am in agreement. I think is 50/50 is fair and a great deal. But I am just relating what Pac's perspective is. Pac probably felt he is now the new DLH as people saying he is the face of Boxing now, so would Hatton gotten 50/50 with DLH before Pac drop his stock? I know Pac is still not DLH, but Pac's team felt he is.

You dont walk away from a fight for pride, that **** never washed in school **** does it wash now. If you are a prize fighter you walk away for 2 possible reasons and 2 possible reasons only:

    1. MONEY!!
    2. You dont want the fight in the first place!!

Please please please dont believe the hype dont believe the bluster those are the ONLY 2 reasons a prize fighter will ever have for walking away from a fight.
